NSD yesterday. Went for a drive earlier somewhere we don't usually go with the intention of going for a walk but had to pay for parking (£2.10). I don't think having to spend is good for me because I then bought a budget book (£4) and two heavily reduced cheese truckles in M&S (£5 to 61p). We do eat masses of cheese, so I suppose in the long run it's a saving...
That doesn't count in my book, on the grounds that it is not MSE to look a gift horse in the mouth. Decent YS that will be eaten and appreciated trumps NSD every time!
    I'll take that :D
    Finally bought a home

    Hi guys
Only 2 NSDs so far but I needed some salad, so while I was spending I bought some packets of pasta in sauce and the £5 offer in Iceland. So £11 in all but will stretch what already I’ve got in.
I need to do the next bit of my menu plan, my cupboards are still full. The only Xmas stuff left is some nice cheeses, some rum truffles and a small bag of popcorn.
I actually felt hungry today,  instead of grazing we stuck to mealtimes. I already feel better for it. I knew it was time to start eating better because I’d started to crave lettuce 😂

  • Hi everyone
I've acheived 2 x NSDs this month so far; also didn't drive my car between 1 & 3 January - trying to limit car use to work and essential journies and aiming for 3 no driving days a week :)

  • Well I am failing at this! I popped into town to get a 9V battery from Poundland (for my smoke alarm), a new belt and some salad.

I ended up with 3 belts, a pair of Chelsea boots (bargain at £6), fruit, salad, battery, 3 lipsticks and a diary  . Total cost £14.
On the upside that is an utter bargain!

Yesterday ended up spending more than planned in the supermarket but bought chicken and cornish pasties on offer. Today I bought a kindle book reduced to 99p which although it was a fail it was on my wishlist.
  • My second NSD today. I took my lunch and hot drink into work. Felt good to be organised!

  • Have to confess to failing on day, as I spent £16.57 in the local shop on drink and snacks! Dry January now started, so no more need to nip to the shop. Managed 3 NSDs since then.
