No Spend January 2022

Succumbed to a bit of browsing some online shops January sales stuff, but just put stuff in trolley and came away. I won't have time for much mooching online this week, so hoping that I'll have forgotten where I've saved things. I have made a start on unsubscribing from marketing emails, I hadn't realised how many times I clicked through to have a look and ended up spending money.
I have spent £68.58 on online grocery shopping, which wasn't the plan at all, but I was too disorganised and tired this week. I've also just realised that I bought a film on prime over the weekend, so another £3.49 to add, and I definitely did not need this.

Day 10 of No Buy and today was a real one!No bills or groceries(allowed under my rules) and no other purchases. On another note I normally going supermarket shopping a couple of times a week - small shops. This week (starting Saturday) is the first time I have done a whole weeks shop in one go, I am really hoping it will help with the NS as supermarkets have become a haven for temptation!1

I am very impressed by you all, my intentions died a death today when I spent a small fortune on updating my tech (it is on its very last legs) and then upgraded to "what the heck" as I slung in an additional iPad for my mum.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.3 -
I've been lurking and reading everything, but tend to be a bit slapdash so haven't said much. However, I'm throwing in this one - I've been trying to use up all my food stores (freezer and cupboards) and had spent less than £10 on fresh stuff so far this month.
Last night, I carefully made a pasta bake using pasta from stores, a batch of sauce I had frozen in December and grated mozzarella from the fridge. All carefully stirred together and topped with more mozzarella.
Apparently my sense of smell hasn't fully returned from the long covid, and it was on the first bite that I realised the cheese was off. Not a bit off. Full-on honking off.

Hi guys
5 NSDs so far. It would be better but I got a needle felting kit for Xmas and needed a couple of bits.
On the up side I cancelled the online shop that should have arrived today so that’s £40 ish not spent.
There’s gaps staring to show in my cupboard and freezer but still plenty of meals left and OH is on board with wierd concoctions this month so save what money we have.

Nipped to Tesco after picking up my prescription but only bought what I went in for. Still got enough in stock to last at least another week without having to resort to odd combinations.3

Sorry, haven't posted much, 9 month old isn't leaving me much time! In all honesty I've only managed 6 no spend days so not so great. BUT I am definitely being more mindful of what we are spending. Up to yesterday my running spend total for January was £237 which includes everything that isn't a fixed bill. £70 of that was fuel and a bulb for the car. Most of the rest was food (though we did a big shop Saturday so we shouldn't need much for the next 10 or so days). Will have to see how the rest of the month goes! Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,984.78/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,341.433
