I have been informed that my aunt and her son are to have a joint funeral - I rather expected that might happen. Not sure whether I will go - or even be able to.
Been to Morrison's with DD.

Morning all
First off, big hugs to you all. I will be glad when it’s all over TBH!
Yesterday was exhausting. Both children not sleeping well either, DD wide awake at 11pm still, despite being up at 5.30. She was sobbing silently and it broke my heart. I laid with her until she fell asleep. DS is up and watching a film, I need to let the hens out. New cockerel is awesome.
Not sure what today brings other than I am making toad in the hole for tea. And I must shower my hair is the pits. Take care all
Xx

Morning all xx
asb - aww, your post broke my heart. I want to zip up there and give you all an illegal hug and lots of love. My inbox is open if you need a safe place to vent emotions xx
Our filthy Friday lunch has been moved to today. We (4 of us) usually have a Taco Bell to celebrate surviving another week - but we've now been hijacked by the cockwombles wanting 'everyone' to get together for a Christmas lunch. I predict indigestion 🥺
Today's to do list:
Feed the birds
Put out the recycling
Paid stuff
Drop presents off at DB's
Bring in bin
iona - I half watched Sewing Bee - but I'm just not a fan of 'Rev' KB, so I ended up playing on my phone. Loved the dress that won 🏆 😍
Everyone take a deep breath. And breathe. One day at a time. One job at a time.
Much love to all

Morning, Big big hugs to all of you, so sorry so many of you are having a hard time.
Toy car was collected by transporter last night, I just have the spare key to send and a declaration to finish online.
OH home for lunch so car will get packed then, so if I haven't packed it by then it's not coming with us.
Bed made, clothes picked up
HHI, laundry up to date so I can pack easily
Lunch planned around what's left in the fridge, a few potatoes, a small portion of baked beans, 3 eggs and a couple of slices of raclette cheese, so I guess it's homemade cheesy chips with poached egg and a few beans.
Banking and spending checked and updated.
To do, in order of priority
Packing
Hoover through
Post key
Go to shop to buy more wool.
Kettles just boiled so taking Radio 2 and my coffee upstairs to get the packing done.11 -
Aww ASB hope she feels better today.
DS2 has come home with Covid (well he goes for PCR today but two LFT were positive). DS1 was staying for Christmas but has packed his stuff and gone back to work. Both him and DH are really worried about getting it, DS2 is isolating in his bedroom.
I have to ring my Mum this morning and tell her that we cant have them here for Christmas day, it's just too much of a risk. We have vague plans of doing Christmas Day another day next week but I dont know right now, I suppose it depends if DH and I stay clear of it.
DS2 is not too poorly, I guess thats the main thing. I will do a LFT then have to take DS2 for PCR, drop off some Christmas presents, get some last minute food shopping, go to the library, find some more test kits if anywhere has them, and do a couple of jobs for work. I really just want to fast forward to January right now.12 -

my sister is coming up later to do the Secret Santa gift exchange. I'm going to remove all personal stuff from the big box and take it all to the CS.
ASB hugs...

ASB.. If we can offer you a place for a day out and some respite give me a shout. I have a flock of little girls who would love to love on yours.. they can be a bit over-bearing but well intentioned. Those middle of the night hugs will mean the absolute world to her and are far more important than anything else. big loves for you too xxx

Enormous (((hugs))) to asb and YL xx
I deposited DH with the nurse in the minor ops at 08.10 - she said he was 3rd on the list and expected that he would be ready to come home in about 2 - 2.5 hours. No word yet. DH did warn her that he is always the one that unexpected things happen to!
It was still dark when I got home, so I decided against hoovering until I had put up at least some of the lights in the front garden. I now have a wreath on my door (sorry, shop-bought, but with added lights), a twinkly blue net over the choisya which has grown rampant this year, and a long string all along one side of the garden and up into my holly tree. Last year I could reach the tip of the holly from the ground - this year I had to stand on my 2-step ladder and still couldn't get the lights up to the very top without using one of DH's long grabbers. Just the rose arches left to be done now, but the ground slopes there and it's not safe to use the stepladder when I'm home alone (except for Rosie, who is snoring under the piano stool).
Lots of other bits to do today, so I'd better get on. WMx1 of 2 has just finished, so that's my next job.
More (((hugs))) and spiced biscuits all round.
