We have just eaten pikelets aka crumpets with butter and honey. I'm claiming that it's a traditional celebration of the longest night of the year. Also, I am on my third load of washing, I've done a big shop, and Rosie has had her walk. I think I deserved mine, though I'm not sure about DH. Oh yes, of course, he stripped his bed this morning, so he deserved his too.

Having a meltdown. DS2 is coming home for Christmas tomorrow and has started with cold symptoms. His housemate has gone out searching for tests because the local pharmacy doesnt have any. What are we going to do if he has Covid? The thought of leaving him alone in a student house over Christmas is awful. Cant settle until I know.12

YSL, fingers crossed it is just a cold.
Our oven has broken. This is the replacement cooker for the one that packed up in Xmas week last year. DD has offered to cook the turkey on Xmas eve when she is out of isolation.Spend less now, work less later.12 -
