Thanks for all the lovely comments about the porch arrangement - I'd do you all one if I could.
Great nails Pigpen, I want reindeers.
Hugs to Fayolle.
- Started the day with a remote assessment, lovely young man with a terrible cold poor thing so I tried to keep it short but being thankful it wasn't a face to face one.
- finished and emailed another report. 4 and a half left but 3 of those have been told for sure they won't get them until New Year. The half is certainly doable before I go down to Mum's on Wed, really hope I can do the other. Admin all finish at uni on Thursday.
- filled bird feeders
- went for a walk down the garden as I haven't been for ages, apart from going out to get foliage. Picked a few peppers still ripening in the greenhouse.
- checked and ticked off lists with Mr N.
- dipped into a few bits of TV intermittently to give my brain a rest from reports which I'm beginning to think I could type in my sleep: a bit of Olympia show jumping, a bit of South Pacific and one episode of Brokenwood. Kept anxiously checking on any Boris directives but none yet.
I don't detect a great deal of actual flying in that lot......
Tomorrow's plan:
- have decided against gym swim. It would be good to swim and coffee with "the girls" as usual but time and potential germ risk have put me off.
- make Christmas pudding
- zoom chat at noon with a friend
- plan to go into town for a few last bits and enjoy the lights and atmosphere
- in theory start packing to go to Mum's but knowing me that will be scrabbling around on Wednesday morning as we are either going after lunch or after 5.30 to miss traffic.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12 -
Tea in the pot and custard creams in the tin, help yourselves...12

Morning all (again!)
I didn’t get back to sleep so instead got up and cracked on with jobs. The chickens have been fed and watered, doormat in the WM, bed remade and fire cleaned out.
I have also cleared and wiped the sides in the kitchen, tidied away some gibble and checked online banking.
Is anyone else just not feeling festive at all? The children will love it all as usual but I just don’t feel that feeling this year xx

Morning all. Hope you're all ok.
After a week of illness and continual negative Covid tests, turns out it is Covid after all. Fortunately my isolation ends at midnight on Xmas eve and I'm feeling much better apart from the cough. How can this virus possibly be contained with all the false negatives etc?
Today, I will of course stay in and mop the floors.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Morning all xx
asb - my friend, S, said the same, but for the first time in years I did feel 'Christmassy' yesterday. I may have peaked too early though - as I'm back at the paid stuff today, working until 4.30 on Christmas Eve. Bah. Humbug!
Love the nails piggers xx and the porch decoration Narc0 xx

🤞that DB's present arrives today.
I've made my bed, got dressed, made my pack up, eaten breakfast and I'm savouring my brew. Commute should be less hectic as I think schools and colleges have closed until January.
There are no pots or laundry hanging around- I do believe I'm getting the hang of this Flylady business 🙂 I'm ignoring the cobwebs as I type that. Baby steps 😉
Have a good day. Look after yourself.
Much love
