Have ironed yesterday's washing, so that is airing. WM x 1, TD x 1, DW x 1
DIL came round - she's looked through sister's books and taken some and she has taken the box to CS - their flat is above shops, one of which is a CS so that's a win

Morning all, again just.
I've been busy with paid stuff. Dailies are done. Xmas veg is here.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Thank you ladies. If I didn’t have you guys I really don’t know how I would get through sometimes.
DD had a good lay in and is snuggled under the blanket on the sofa with the iPad. I have managed to shower and wash my hair finally, and a small load is swishing.
YL - I am so so sorry about your DS. I hope he continues to feel okay with it and doesn’t get under the weather. If you find a way to fast forward to January please take me with you.
It’s drizzly and muddy here so apart from a quick trip out the cluckers I’ll be staying in. The kids can watch TV and I will rest until I make dinner later. Much love to you all and thanks for being my friends xx

Packing done, car loaded, lunch eaten. DW is on, kitchen is done including cleaning the hob. Cat trays done, floors hoovered.
Now going to go to town to post car key and try and buy some more wool. Then that will be me done, OH set to finish at 4 and we'll be on our way.
I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and health and happiness for the new year. I know it's early but on holiday we only get the computer out to do something, not random loitering. This was a rule put in by my girls when they were young and thought their dad spent too much time working when he was on holiday. It's great. We do have phones and ipads but although I will read the thread on them from time to time I don't tend to reply and it's certainly not regular.
Hugs, sticks & spoons for all of you. Let's see those BIG SMILES!

Have carrot and coriander soup simmering on the hob, so fridge is a little clearer, bunnies have had a treat and there will be some lunches ready to go.

ASB well said, you lot are amazing. And Mademoiselle Happy Christmas, have a lovely time x
DH and I have decided we are going to make the best of things, as we keep repeating to each other we have been through much worse. DS2 is in bed and is not buying into this Pollyana spirit bless him, but thats OK. Its going to be hard not seeing DS1 on Christmas Day though.
Usually I would be delivering presents and having a drink and gossip as I went around, today presents have been left in greenhouses/sheds/garages for me to collect. I am completely fine with this but I did feel a bit like a leper.
Tried to get LFT tests, none to be had anywhere. So I have been to the test centre with DS (wearing masks in the car), delivered presents, tracked down Lucozade for DS at his request, quickly changed my library books, put a load of washing over the airer and moved some cardboard packaging into the greenhouse to deal with later. I have also checked the toilets, park, cemetery, and play areas that I look after in my paid job, so I am all set for a week and a bit off.
I am fighting a losing battle over the filthy utility room floor, will deal with that later. DW on, might put another quick wash on. Fire to clean out and get ready for lighting again.
Brew first.10 -
Morning from the Christmassy Skint Pit!
The food is now in...for the holidays and several days after, in case B*ris pops up with a surprise after the Queen's Speech and the shelves get hoovered up on Boxing Day with people buying 30 packets of loo roll and 107 packets of pasta that they *think* need.
We might not want to eat Spaghetti hoops on freezer bread, but no one will starve.
Finally got Froggy admin posted last night. With all the enclosures they needed, properly marked up with name, national insurance number and enclosure numbers and page numbers...everything triple checked 70+ pages of A4 in addition to the main form. Ok, it is 6 weeks late being returned, but it is finally all there, and it will be what it will be.
Now that has been posted, I am having a productive morning sorting some other frogs that have been ribbiting far too long.
DFF have had their appointments booked in for the (hushed tone) V...E...T....so that's a big one.
Booked up some self care appointments for the new year, so they are now non-negotiable.
plus 5 other Froggy admin jobs that have been hanging around for too long.
I sorted through junk mail while on hold on phone calls, so that didn't waste any time. Now have a nice pile to recycle with address info to go through the shredder later. I have done some preliminary work on some other admin jobs to, so they will be ready to tick off before too long.
time to get driving, will catch up later xxx
The cold never bothered me anyway11 -
DH is home. Originally he was only supposed to have one leg treated, but he's been waiting so long for the op that the Dr decided that it would be better to treat both, so he's had a BOGOF
From tomorrow, he is supposed to do 3x periods of gentle exercise (ie walking) daily. I am not holding my breath...
Many thanks for my Flylady cards, which are displayed on the kitchen windowsill, with the little gnome (or is it an eco-FC?) hanging on the window latch and the chocolate on *my* side of the table, ready for breakfast on Saturday!
WMx2 finished.
In other news, DH cannot find any paperwork to prove that he owned our previous car (he part-exchanged it about 18 months ago), so it looks as if his emissions claim is going nowhere.10 -
Wrapped another mountain of presents.. I need to sort into bags tomorrow and that's as sorted as we can be.
Moomin cleaned the bathroom..
Hall/stairs/landing, WC and back room still disgusting.. so that is tomorrow dealt with.
I need to wash a carpet too.. and move stuff out of the front room.
Off to do food and then crack on with flinging and shifting and stressing..

Today's to do list:
Feed the birds ✅
Put out the recycling ✅
Paid stuff ✅
Drop presents off at DB's ✅
Bring in bin ✅
DS is (supposed to be) calling to pick up the presents for A&P (GF's parents) tonight. I think they are real people too but I've not met them either. DS insists it's not because there's anything wrong with me 🤔 hmmm.
DSil made me a Christmas cake. I feel really loved. Worried about DB though - he's limping with pains in both calfs. I ran through the symptoms for DVT with him - none present, and I'd expect that to be unilateral not bi. And breathe.
Love to all
