roundtuit said:Thank you piggers for my Santa, and Narc0 for the chocolate. And all of you for being such good friends to me...as I said to a colleague earlier this week 'it's like being friends with real people' 😊
Love to all

Popping in, as in my little world, it is late and nearly bedtime.Just wanted to send love and hugs to ASB and your lovely DD, and to the YL family xx
Thank you for my cards, which arrived today (big thank you to Natty for organising it all, yet again). I have just got to them, but am saving opening them until I finish work tomorrow, when I can sit and appreciate the wonderful bunch of people who I am honoured to call my Fly Friends.
In the spirit of then thread, I have cooked dinner. Total sum of flying for today.9 -
Morning all,
Dark and very wet here. I have seen to the chickens, made DS some toast and am now savouring a cuppa. DD still asleep thankfully. Got a chap coming to collect a FB marketplace sale this morning, £15 for me thank you!
I have promised the children we will make pancakes, and do some baking later on. Easy spag bol for dinner. Love to all xx11 -

DS and GF did call on the way past last night. And made me sad. I've told myself off but if something hurts it hurts yeah? Feelings aren't right or wrong they just are. I don't even know why I'm hurt - spent half the night trying to be my own therapist- obviously failed. It'll pass. Just got to plaster a smile on my face and pretend.....and I won't be the only one doing that over the weekend.
Bah. Humbug. Just call me Ebenezer 😉
I hope you all have a lovely day and don't get frazzled. Much love to all
Rxx

(((Hugs))) round. Message me (MSE or FB) any time, if you want to. We're not doing much this weekend. Christmas is the worst time to feel sad because we are made to feel that we ought to be bouncing around and having loads of fun, and life just isn't like that sometimes.
asb, pancakes sound just right for today, and some might end up on our lunchtime table now you've put the idea into my head! They will make a nice change from scrambled eggs (even though I like scambled eggs a lot).
I have been awake since 4.00 again and not achieved a great deal in that time, so I'd better crack on and try to send about 20 e-cards, mainly to friends and family abroad, before DH surfaces and gets breakfast. I gave up trying to beat the latest overseas posting dates a few years ago, when the cost of the stamp became higher than the cost of the card.
Afterwards
- a trip to the tip with all the garden rubbish
- clean! clean! clean!
- wash towels
- put up the tree in the DR
- put up the LR decorations and cards
- QHI to get it out of the way
- wrap gifts
and Christmas will start with the crib service at 6.30.
(((Hugs))) to all in need. Help yourself to spoons from the pot or sticks from the lawn. We can do this! xxx

Sending happiness vibes to all. I'm glad to have had a good night's sleep as I really needed it. Yesterday mum and I were at Mr L by 8.30, got all on list.
Spent rest of morning and part of afternoon finishing report, was so relieved when I sent it off, could have cried.
Sorted out mum's tree and decorations.
Did arrangement for sil, really pleased with it. Lots of flowers left over so did a dining table centrepiece and a little one for bil. Lovely and relaxing as a total change from writing reports!
Mr N and I cooked dinner, gosh I hate cooking in someone else's kitchen.
Today I'm guessing some flying and veg preparation for tomorrow but should be an easy day, hope to get a walk if it stops raining.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Round hugs my love, if something hurts you then it hurts, its not your fault that it makes you feel that way. And for what its worth DS1 is a kind soul but he does think he can say anything he likes to me because I am his Mum.
And for anyone struggling today and tomorrow I would just say that Christmas is not a happy jolly time for a lot of people, and thats OK, if you need to you just get through it any way that you can.
I have just got up, I have been reading my book in bed though. DS2 now has heavy head cold symptoms but is OK, he is staying in his room today then we will make a judgement on tomorrow - we might do some socially distanced present opening and sit him at the other end of the kitchen for lunch, but no firm plans yet.
Workout next then a big brunch. We havent taken presents to DHs Mum, he needs to ring her and make a plan. And I could do with some more paracetamol so might go to the local shop for that.11 -
MorningGrey, raining and over cast here.Cat sortedKitchen sortedBin doneWent to mrt to buy pizza for dinner tonight, they have 75% off items in the fresh fish counter, so I spent £10.50 on salmon, it has been cut up /20 portions and is in the freezer, I would never be able to afford it at full price, to me pure luxury at a very reduced price, and while chatting to the cashier, well she was doing most of the talking, it seems the staff have been instructed to reduce all the fresh meats / veg / fruit etc down during the day, shame my freezer is full.OH and me only for Christmas, so my pm box is there for any one who needs it, and no you won't be disturbing me..............Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
