Current mortgage amount: £226,957.97

Im ending the year on £100. Not where I thought I would be but buying a house takes your money!
Priorities for me have now changed and next year will hopefully see me start to build up savings again!3 -

That's very kind, EeeJay. Just plodding along, really!

Suffolk_lass said:@SomersetSaverSue thank you re the Classic FM programme, I knew someone was doing it and I was about to research who so very timely and helpful. Actually not just to me. It's really nice to see you boosting everyone on the thread for their little achievements. Thank you!
You also did really well to save so much in October and very happy for your health news that it was not a second stroke. I can only relate that feeling to me awaiting various invasive test results last year - such a relief that they were all clear! You must be thrilled with that news. More important than any savings targets xThanks for your lovely words, Suffolk_lass, and sorry to hear you had your own health struggles last year but glad they were all clear.Hope the classic FM programme helped on the 5th (I've been a bit MIA this month)1 -
becky_rtw said:No. 48 with £225 in November taking me to £19819 so far.Looks like I should hit £20k next month, which although short of my target, that was always very optimistic this year so really please with that.
2023 will have to wait until we have moved in Jan and everything has settled down as we'll be reinvesting some sums from a house sale for a while. Off to do the forms.
Well done on saving so much!

One month to go, to my last post on the forum!Hope you're enjoying your first month of FIRE and had a great holiday. I guess it may take a few months to sink in and find out your new "normal" routine. We will gloss over the unexpected table purchase, hope it's one you like!2 -
atti said:#75 reporting £603.27 for November. Definitely not on track for target this year but definitely better off than if I haven't tried! Will continue to plod on this month whilst planning how to approach next year with a bit more vigour.

tommyedinburgh said:After three really good years doing this challenge I’m fearful for what will be our target next year. The sums just aren’t adding up. We tend to aim for somewhere in the region of £1250 a month on average - I’m thinking £600 at the most next year, probably the very most.
it's going to be a hard one to judge, isn't it tommyedinburgh? I'm going to have to drastically re-think mine and am not sure what to aim for at the moment. Some number crunching and change of priorities needed I think, a new year challenge.

#56 reporting a much-below target saving of £638.54. I was unable to work full hours so my pay was approx 2/3 of usual. I had some spends on new tech (decided it was necessary) plus some Christmas presents (present pot raided to buy myself new tech!).Will be interesting to see what next year brings and what it will be possible to save in the future.Well done everyone on keeping the focus - one last push!4
