Got my final bill, it's until 4th Dec, i gave my final reading on 30th Nov so it's fairly accurate. Ended up with £67 of credit which should reduce my EDF DD by £5.50 a month.0

Same here. Sad to see Zog go but the transition to EDF has been fairly smooth and painless.andy15959 said:Got my final bill, it's until 4th Dec, i gave my final reading on 30th Nov so it's fairly accurate.

Me too - and the EDF Woo,Stage 4 , DD all set up, bill for Dec 15 - Jan 5 all yesterday.
I assume we get a EDF bill for Dec 5 - 15 in due course
It's only been 5 weeks.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
I wudnt call it painless.. the transition. Got My zog bill which is a slight higher read but thats fine with £67 cr. My EDF now says contract start of 31 Dec and time for meter read but nowhere to input it as just gives tips of how to do it. The 5-30 dec is the blank zone.0

I also ended up having to do it over the phone as the web site gave me the Whoops! Something went wrong message. I have gone from £42 pm with Zog to £58 pm.Jaxer said:
Thanks, I called them today and they sorted out the DD on the phone which is now showing on the account and I received an email from them confirming my "new" standard/variable tariff starts today. I'm assuming this the "DD" rate, and that they will automatically rebate the differential surcharge for the "cash/cheque" tariff from 15/12/21 when they took on the Zog supply.Keep_pedalling said:
I had the exact same email after I attempted to set up a DD on the 19th December. Live chat just suggested I try again but the system would not let me do it and a few days later my account showed as cancelled.Jaxer said:I'm a bit confused with the status of my DD. I had my switch confirmed yesterday and logged into the EDF site to set up a DD in the morning. I provided a meter reading and went for the monthly/budget option. The monthly suggested amount was pretty close to my previous Zog payments so I put in all the bank details and cancelled my Zog DD. A couple of hours later, I got an email from an EDF customer service rep saying:Thank you for submitting the online form dated 31 December 2021 to change your payment method.
Unfortunately, I am unable to setup the Budget Direct Debit Monthly for you as the Direct Debit amount is not mentioned in the email.
I would request you to contact us over the Live Chat on our website www.edfenergy.com to setup the Direct Debit for your account. We can discuss the suitable Direct Debit amount as per your consumption.
You also need to share your bank details with us which we consider to be sensitive information which is why we would not encourage you to share this on Emails.
More importantly, we would need you to authorise us to update your bank details on our system in order to set up your Direct Debit which is not possible over email.
Please contact us over the Live Chat on our website www.edfenergy.com to setup the Direct Debit for your account. We are available 24x7.I also got a separate email telling me the direct debit was cancelled and the account now shows I'm back to the cash/cheque payment method.
I don't know what they mean by the "direct debit amount is not mentioned in the email" as everything was done through the online account login and it showed me the monthly budgeted amount. I've emailed them to find out what's going on, but was curious if anyone else had experienced anything similar?
I had to ring them last week and that now looks to be sorted. It also seems they will now be taking hourly smart meter readings. I will attempt setting up a DD tomorrow and report back.
It took over 30 minutes on hold to get through to someone but they did then deal with pretty well.0 -

Got my final bill this morning - Zog read was slightly higher than actual ( ~ 70kwh) . No sign of reading on EDF site but the Zog beta site has been updated with the bill !
One thing to watch for is the date used for the start with EDF as Zog have included s/c for the 4th0 -
Got mine this morning too, spot-on as I submitted a read on 4th Dec as soon as we knew they were gone and has been used for the final read & bill. £126-odd credit to carry forward to EDF once it all settles.
The EDF start-date will be one to watch, as someone will want paying for gas used between 4th and 15th of Dec, which was the earliest date shown anywhere on the EDF MyAccount. EDF were on about billing from 15 Dec - 18 Jan, but that has since dropped off the account, but think I'll pop a reading in on 17th Jan anyway and request a bill....that will act as a check as to what opening read EDF are using.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

Do you mean about 11.1kWh to be more precise (i.e. 1m3) or have Zog gone to the extent of using a partial m3?
Close enough not to argue the toss over (<15 kWh) just daft they wanted a figure on the 4th which I gave them yet they used an estimatenrmsmith said:

when GNE went bust last Jan 2020, the final bill I got from them had an estimated reading that was higher than we had actually reached in Aug 2020 when EDF started charging us for electricity-and it had to challenged and redone delaying my SOLR switch to them by a further 6 weeks! (A cynic might think this was done deliberately by the GNE administrators to maximise their final income)
Either way, very strange that they chose to vary it by such a small amount.
Was the meter reading you submitted included in the bill? If not, perhaps it was not received by Zog.
For the record, Zog used the meter reading we submitted on 04/12 to them to produce our final bill.
