I got a letter from EDF this morning.
    Inside was a bill for 4- 15 December 2021.

The 4/12 and 15/12 are estimated readings but i gave them actual readings as i took daily readings as soon as Zog went bust but i cant find them on my EDF account site.

I will have to look at my last Zog bill or not final bill and see what was the reading was but i am sure it is not the same.

Paper Bill date 1st March for that Dec 4 -15 period.

No sign of it on My Bills and Payments
Exactly the same here. 1 March paper statement covering 04 December to 15 December with no corresponding entry on the website. Nothing is wrong so far: it's just an odd way of doing things.

Have a look at the unit rates / standing charge and you may find they are at cash/cheque rates rather than DD

Just got my paper bill for 4th - 15th as well.  Although happily they used same meter reading for opening reading as Zog used for the closing reading the cheeky blighters have charged 2 days extra SC , 1 for the 4th which Zog already charged and 1 for 15th which they've already charged for.  Plus they used cash rate.  I'll be on chat later seeking a credit for the overcharges which I calc amount to around £2.50 which I don't see that they should get away with.

No sign yet of the up to date bill I requested the other day and was promised 'within 48 hours max'with a breakout of the other debits and credits they've applied as one liners.

At the moment I am up on what I calculate my total up to their billing date of 2 Jan should be and what they have billed, adjusted & credited.

I got my first bill  - a momentous occasion 👍 am checking it tonight but what stood out to me was 3 months cost double what my zog direct debit was. I appreciate it covers the coldest months, but still.

BG cancel every bill they've produced before the debit gets taken, so I haven't paid them for 6 months. And this is before the price rise.

It would be a big shock if I had only put aside what I'd paid my previous suppliers while waiting for all this to be sorted. Not all customers keep spreadsheets or do their own calculations.

I think companies should not be allowed to let 3 or 6 months go by without at least giving an indication of what you are currently using.

Just double checked mine and they are at the cash/cheque rates rather than DD.

Time for a snail mail COMPLAINT letter for me -  EDF really are paying for their chronic systems.

Have redone the calculations from the start with EDF on cash rates to the date they started to charge at the DD rates. The credit I was due is actually ~£2 LESS than they have added as the latest credit !! Wonder if there will be any explanation of their calculations offered ?

The way bills are calculated is wrong IMO.. unless im having a senior moment.

If your bill is 800 -900 one month and the next is shown as 900-1000 , arnt you always being charged twice for the last/first unit?
