Its support and billing is awful and never seen such incompetence with a supplier but looking around there is hardly any choice but the big five who all have issues because they have a monopoly on the market. Only wish government would nationalise the energy sector and get rid of these cowboys.

The added amount for missing days has been added to my account but its been calculated with cheque prices not DD ones. Readings are fine. Just been on to EDF via twitter to show the correct values so await their response.0

Complete mess with EDF billing. I've had a charge of forty quid or so appear on the bill with no explanation why that's on top of the actual usage charges for the period to 7th Jan. Also can't understand quite why a bill generated in March only goes to Jan although that was when I setup the DD. No credit from Zog to confuse things as I owed Zog money which was paid directly to administrators so it's very unclear what the EDF bill debit actually relates to.
They've also said they're taking 2 DD payments in April, one as the standard amount I've paid since Jan and another random figure which isn't even the bill amount. No additional payment should be due as I'm substantially in credit even with the latest amount from the bill.
Trying to get hold of them to find out why hasn't been easy as others have already indicated.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
I had a spurious 2nd DD which disappeared as quickly as it appeared.
If you ask for a bill that will prompt a DD review..
Don't try to look for any logic with EDF -Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -

so I was printing off my EDF bill for my records, and I thought "i'll go to the site and see if the account balance has changed"... logged in to find there was a £15.81 debit difference (i.e a charge not a credit)... needless to say there was no indication of what it was for.started a chat and found it was the Dec 4 - Dec 15 charge which I hadn't previously been billed for (1st invoice was for 15 Dec - 10 Mar), so the guy generated a bill and emailed it to me... upon reading it, I found it was charging cash rates... so mentioned that to him and he immediately says that I should have been charged at DD rates and gave me an £8 credit (not shown in the account yet).by my reckoning, the difference between the two should be less than £2, so how much of that £8 is credit and how much "compensation" I dunno, as i've literally got no idea exactly how they calc their bills.assumed this was primarily incompetent billing, but starting to think they might be trying it on and seeing what they can get away with.0
