Got an email today from Barclays saying that changes are afoot on the fee chargeable and the rewards payable under the Blue Rewards scheme. Seems that we have to wait until December for further details. I'm guessing that the changes will not be to the customer's advantage. Has anyone any inking what is going on?
Me too... Typical as I only joined up late October.. earned the £3.50 for this month after fees. I'm always late to the party, and now the doors are gonna be closing as soon as I get a drink on my hand.
Pedantic point but I think it's only £3 net per month (£7 for two DDs less £4 fee), unless you've got something fancy like a Barclays insurance or som'at.

If you are a blue rewards member that purely has the blue rewards that pays you just the £7 per month for having 2 direct debits, you are about to be disappointed…

I'm not surprised. Barclays' 'Premier' offering is soon to be downgraded as well.
    How is it being downgraded?
See screenshot below. Relationship mangers are out and financial guides are in, whatever they are.

Wasn’t the ATM limit £2,000 before or has that only ever been for Wealth Management Clients?

I had a questionnaire from them sometime this summer asking my views re Blue Rewards. The scenario (If I remember rightly) was something like increase the cost to £5pm. Downgrade the payments- so no profit at all on 2 x DDs but introduce a whole raft of other 'non monetary rewards' none of which appealed to me at all.
Sorry I can't be more helpful- I just can't remember.

Looks like after a couple of profitable years with them with double rewards I shall be looking for a new switch deal!
Yet another   account needing a new home (TSB x 2  just completed.)
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

If it is similar to that, probably won't bother keeping it to be honest, especially if RBS retain their rewards on their account.  I do use it as a proper account as such (as i have a few that i used for breaking up my budgeting) but if it means no rewards less inclined to keep it.

Doesn't sound promising! I'll keep it running until another switch offer comes along but unfortunately I think I have exhausted every switch offer that has been available  :'(

Thank you for posting the screenshot.

I've had a letter today too. Superficially mine looks the same, but on closer examination the third paragraph of yours, commencing "We want to reassure you ....." is missing; and also missing is all the information about tripAbrood, from "and just in ......" onwards.

My letter also says, under "How to stay eligible for these benefits" headline: "If you no longer meet our criteria or your circumstances have changed, we'll contact you to let you know your options".

If they take Premier off me then there's no way I'm going to do battle with their useless Offshore call centres, and my favoured "option" will be to make greater use of the RBS Private Banking which I also have.

Looks as though they will announce the bad news on Blue Rewards just around Christmas time.

Mines is still at £2000 in the app, although there is no way I would feel comfortable withdrawing all that at an ATM

Yes, now I look, if I wish it will allow me to make it £2,000.
