I agree my cleaner is ace. Huge relief over the WM too!
DD has just pulled out some jars of sauce she no longer wants that I can give my cleaner next time. It all helps.
I was discussing the forecast energy bills with my cleaner whose house is less than half the size of mine but much older - and hers is due to cost £3K+. That does include their hot tub though which they are going to pack up and put away. Every little helps. I told her to search on the Vamp thing too - so she knew which devices to target...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I've done my monthly money shuffle. Just cleared £80 off a points CC that I spent on fuel a couple of days ago. I bought myself a journal for £11.54 and some goal stoppers for £1.15. Spent £3.50 via DD on the latter earlier in the week too - not sure if I put it on.
Up bright and early tomorrow to take DD to train station. Then need to shower and go into work. Worked about 10.5-11 hours today - so made up some more of my owed time which feels good.
Had spag bol and macaroni milk for food today - so very carb heavy. Also had porridge. DD is cooking garlic chicken though and says she will share some with me - so should have more variety tomorrow. I'd defrosted some chicken but not got around to cooking it yet. May buy a few fresh groceries tomorrow. If I do will try and make a list before I go so don't get sucked in due to payday haze.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well done on the w/m fix and that TGTG veggie carvery sounds delicious and a bargain
I am eating extra carb suddenly - think its the weather change.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks @LadyWithAPlan
Yes I think the change of weather is having an impact. I had 3 hash browns, 3 thin sausages, beans and 2 eggs for breakfast. Will see if eating more - and eating more protein - reduces the sweet cravings.
I've split my groceries budget now to be about £35 a week with £20 spare a month for those random household items / pet food items. Will see if I can come in below that. My biggest challenge is that not only am I sabotaging my diet plan by eating too much junk food - it's also taking about a third of my grocery budget! I also need to follow the SW plan better and eat more of that so hopefully I stay fuller for longer. When I get back on plan I find it easier to stay on plan - but once I'm derailed I struggle to return.
Just organised a Mr A delivery for tomorrow - £39.34 after random £2 voucher they allocated to me. This included £3 on toiletries. £6.25 of that was 'goal stopper' foods but if that stops me doing top up shops still cheaper than most other weeks - also £1 of the £1.30 rewards pot related to these foods - so true cost £5.25. I will split the treat food into days - to better match my SW allowance. Will let you know how that goes. £2.50 of that was on 24 X cubes so they should last a while but derail meal plans if not available. I bought minced beef, cheese, mackerel, chickpeas, eggs, peanuts, 3 x chilled soups - rest was pretty much fruit and veg.
I also need to try and harvest more plums if I can find a way to reach them. Plus apples from the garden. I may then make some home made crumble again. Ideally I need to freeze some of my harvest too...
Need to shower, do my make up and go into work. Got to see my boss and an auditor today - always fun!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

It must be the weather. I am also eating too many junky carbs. Dragged the scales out for the first time since I went to the health trial. My weight is up but not by that much, although I feel heavier. Going to get a few pounds off so I enter the next stone down.
Well done on wmIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
