BG Zero Fix October 22

Hi. Sorry for late reply. The standing charge on the HomeEnergy tariff is 28p per day if that helps you work that out. I tried live chat, he said he had read the previous live chat conversation that confirmed I was being put on Zero Fix but "back office" could not apply the change as I was not eligible for it. He would open a complaint and close it as resolved.tg99 said:
I have a new bill not yet ready to download which has replaced the ‘cancelled and replaced’ ones and can see the amount due is higher than what was due in the cancelled bill using same meter readings. So am wondering if they’ve changed my tariff too like yours though if I use the tariff rates for HomeEnergy Fix Oct 2022 it comes out about £20 different to the amount now billed. And whether I factor in debit carried across from NR or not doesn’t reconcile amounts exactly so guess will need to wait till bill ready to see what is happening!TonySimon said:Hi. Just an update on this - (it was me who started this thread!) I have now received my first bill covering November until May. I have been placed on HomeEnergy Fix Oct 2022 which has standing charges. Back when I asked to be put on BG ZERO Fix Oct 22 the online portal did show this but now shows the other tariff. I think BG has changed this without informing me, so I would recommend you check your online account/bills. I will need to contact British Gas about this.
I had went from position 71 in the queue so by that point I was demented with them and just wanted off the conversation.
I will have to make another complaint to them when I have more time. Not great service from British Gas if I am being honest.1 -
Thanks for reply. Did you ever get an email from BG confirming switch to zero fixed? I got one at the same time as it appeared on the portal.TonySimon said:

I’ve now been able to download new bill and reason it’s higher than that which it replaced is nothing to do with tariff as that continues to use zero fixed rates. What has happened is BG have now (correctly) charged me from the last meter reading used by Neon Reef when went bust in Nov (ie from point BG became SOLR) whereas before they were using a higher estimate from when my switch completed a couple of weeks later. They’ve charged these additional units at zero fixed rates and thus no standing charge. So everything seems fine still.1 -
Back on standard variable here2

Did they just change yours in similar fashion to TonySimon? Did you get confirmation that you’d been moved to zero fixed previously?grandadgolfer said:Back on standard variable here
Though I note TonySimon got moved to different Oct 22 tariff and not standard variable.0 -
I tried to change to oct 22 and constantly got the runaround from online chat so went via ombudsman and before decision was made my tariff changed to oct 22 but ombudsman decided BG didn't have to change me they also agreed to compensate me £50.When I pointed out to ombudsman that BG had already changed me I was told don't be surprised if they change you back then a couple of weeks later my tariff changed back to SV.tg99 said:

Tonysimon is the home energy fix better than SVR, out of curiosity? If not, they should put you back on the cap if that's what you were on before.0

Anyone had correspondence yet from BG regarding the end of the Oct 22 zero fixed tariff on 31 Oct?0
-
Surprised there's no posts on here as to what will happen tomorrow, when the great zero fixed tariff we've enjoyed comes to an end.
I haven't received any communication from BG about it
It will come as a shock to go onto the higher rates (which others have now got used to )
Remember to send BG a reading/s today!0
