The website just says prices are high and stay with your current supplier. Chat (both website and app) need you to start the process on the website or phone. I’ll try first thing as the phone line agents finish at 5 and the wait at 4:30 was 30 mins.Shedman said:

If these are suggestions for me I’ve tried chat in a few different ways and transferred into different parts of it but always hit the same point which is they need you (or claim they do) to initiate the switch from a different supplier to BG yourself or, I’m hoping, over the phone verbally. I had the same thing in November when jumping from Neon Reef to BG, and yesterday when I got the switch to the better tariff and then asked about moving from EDF for gas; that was all good and the agent transferred me to the relevant team who ultimately confirmed I was with EDF (I didn’t tell them) but needed me to initiate via the website - I can’t see them voluntarily running the risk of losing that sale after saying it’s all good and looking to see the company I was currently with etc.Gerry1 said:I'm 5 in the queue !
