BG Zero Fix October 22

Just got off live chat told first they had no record of account being transferred to BG ZERO OCT 22 but after informing person i had full record of chats and that I would like to speak to manager they suddenly found my details. Then told it would take 24 working days to which I pointed out that in Nov 21 I was told 28 days to Dec 9th transfer day, then another 28 days to beginning of Jan 22 and now another 24 days to get a response the manager promised it would be sorted by Jan 14th1

Admittedly that was before the tariff was more widely known about & before most call centre staff became aware its a tariff that you should not be allowed to move to & also before all these suppliers started going bust on masse2 -

The Oct Fixed 2022v2 which I was offered a couple of days ago is not a current market tariff either, I just found out, but they could switch me to that in the chat whereas the Zero Fixed they could not. Oct v2 is likely cheaper so it may be worth seeing if they will go to that one instead?
I just phoned in for my gas switch from EDF to Oct 22 v2 and because the agent could see they had promised he agreed I would move to that. I’m on a temporary Oct 23 rate to get it through the system and then should be switched by him a day or two after the switch from EDF. Deja by but that’s the first hurdle and I have notes on my account, and a recorded line, and web chat transcript.

I wouldn't believe a word they tell you on chat my experience is they just tell you what you want to hear to get rid of you.
Been told on 3 different occasions my tariff would update in 3 different timescales and to date this has not happened.
I have now racked up 6 complaints with British Gas and to date 1 is being dealt with

I’m still struggling to get past the first hurdle of actually getting onto Chat. Tried numerous times throughout day and always ‘busy come back later’.0

I am the person who started this thread. I never got moved to this tariff within the timescale. The next person on live chat was not wanting to move me until I sent live chat transcript. I have now been moved and compensation added to account for poor customer service.5
