You seem to be doing all that you can.1

Had been on my mind what was happening with your case. Keep going, and hopefully you'll get some answers soon enough!2

To update: I still haven't heard anything despite resending my emails. I'm going to post a letter to the court (recorded delivery) today.

Ironic! I posted the letter and have literally just received an email. I LOST:( but I'm very angry with this. I will upload their email now0
-
So my questions are
• it is dated 23.1.23 so I therefore couldn't meet the December payment deadline
• it says the case was heard in Watford!!
• it says the claimant informed them and myself that they wouldn't be in attendance. It says nothing about me giving notice and my reason.0 -
My post has just arrived and I have a letter from watford Court!!0

So sorry. You will have to pay £185 immediately (at least it is reduced right down to only £185).
It is by not attending that this happened, as we predicted it would.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Fair enough about paying-i expected that might be the case. However it feels so so unfair when I was told the case would be heard in Hertford and it says it was done in Watford. I therefore missed the opportunity.0
-
Not really.
You both said you would not attend so (in theory, albeit would not happen) even a Judge sitting in Newcastle could have handled a decision 'on the papers'. The case sat in the to-do box virtually and a Judge in Watford picked it up that day.
Win or lose, what a waste of your time this was, and worse, as you say, they threatened your credit rating and your mental health.
Horrible scam. Anyway, get your revenge:
We sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the final Government Public Consultation?
We all need to ram the nail in the coffin of the false £70 'DRA fee' add-on, that actually funds the court claim and toxic CCJ culture, as well as the DRA and roboclaim 'legals' gaslighting of people.
Please come back here when it opens, and you can make sure you don't miss the Public Consultation:
If you are not a regular reader, to be alerted you'll need to bookmark the thread by MSE_JC at the top of the forum and enable (on your profile) email alerts for bookmarked threads.
