Afternoon all
It’s been allotment flying this morning. Garlic finally planted after extracting a bucket of weeds and another of stones. Brought home carrots, beetroot, spinach, kale and my best ever winter squash harvest, so a few dinners sorted there for cold evenings. SC on with tonight’s casserole, so just some veg to do, and maybe a rhubarb crumble to use some of the rhubarb stash from the freezer.
I’m going to join piggers in the knit knit knit knit club this aftrnoon. As I’m way off her standard, it will take me an age to make DsiL’s present, and may even becaome her birthday present - next August! Quite pleased with starting and finishing both a beret and a pair of fingerless mitts for DD this week though. Might be able to turn out another couple of berets as presents yet, although that will mean a trip to the wool shop…
YL - have a big hug. You and me are never going to stop worrying about their health and twinges. I’m sure he is ok xx8 -
Finished a Slytherin hat.. on with the next.. DD1 is crocheting worms. I need to create an adundance of pompoms in 2 hats time.
Applied for a carers card and a blue badge for Dot. She was nearly run over twice crossing Tesc0 car park yesterday (with OH!!), we need to be parked at the door for her safety and my sanity! She was in a running mood and we lost her twice in the shop.
Made another cuppa and the girls lunch and sent DD1 pics of the new hat.
Right.. next hat to start.. I will be glad when they are all done, though the scarves are going to be my ongoing project I do between other things because they are boring!
