Yorkshirelass, yes, pigpen is OK, just very busy!
I've realised that the change of clocks means that I no longer get an after-dinner nap, because I have to take Rosie out earlier and then spend 2.5 hours on hospital visiting, which is why I am so sleep-deprived atm. I can't go more than 7 hours at night, yet I have always needed a minimum of 8/24 hours' sleep to function properly. Thankfully, last night I slept through for just under 7 hours, and have woken fairly pain-free, so am cracking on with bits: I have already FUPA the last of the washing (until today's load is done), sorted outdoor clothes and shoes to take to DH if required, tidied my desk, and caught up with the news whilst drinking my first cuppa.
My plan (bearing in mind that it could all go to pot if the call comes to collect DH) is to
- drink my second cuppa
- must not forget my meds!
- phone bank at 8.00
- CS drop off
- collect bag from church
- go to tip to dispose of the old collapsed veg trug (09.50 slot booked)
- deliver a card
- sign and deliver a form
- WMx1
- DW
- if time, take DH's car for a tyre check
- Rosie's walk
- sweep the lawn
- hospital visiting at 6pm - remember to take DH's stick - also allow extra time for rush-hour traffic / darkness / rain
- watch GBBO and WDYTYA
Anything else is a bonus.
Hope everyone has a peaceful and productive day, stress levels stay down, and Littleydog continues to make good progress xxx9 -
Morning all. Sounds like you all have busy days planned.
I have done first session of physio with Littleydog and she was compliant whereas yesterday she didn't want to know except for the massage bit.
Today is a day off for DH so he is going to look after the dogs while I have a long overdue meet-up with friends I've not seen since March 2020.
I will make the bed, so that counts as flying right?
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning all,
((hugs)), Iona xx Wish I was near enough to come and help you out for a day.Finished my book this morning (thank you, ASB), as a birthday treat lie-in. Hair washed, bedding changed and in wm, bedroom window opened to blast some air in. Clean and dry towels folded. Now need to dry my hair, which will lead to having to vacuum the bedroom floor.
Need to go to the PO for DD. Also on my list is to clean the bathrooms, and dust downstairs, where the sun is showing off my slovenliness.
Have a lovely day all xx8 -

Has anyone heard from Pigpen, hope she is OK.
I'm fine, thank you. Trying to sort Dots EHCP, change swimming class sort Squeaks counselling and SLT, chasing a million people incapable of doing their jobs on top of dealing with Squeaks home ed, helping DD1 whose children have had 2 weeks of a tummy bug and her washing machine broke! and getting 1000 Harry Potter hat and scarf sets knitted before Christmas. Plus dealing with DS1 and trying to get Meem to go back to work and checking in on my mother after the attempted murder.. police still not bothered finding the a$$wipe.
My house is squalid.
Love hugs GWS's and the many congrats owed xxx

Morning xx
Happy Birthday Fayolle xx Hope you have a lovely day.
Hugs to ionafan xx Take care of yourself. I'm loving GBBO too 🙂
Waving across the muddy river to piggers 👋 xx
My last day of freedom - didn't win the lottery so it's back to the paid stuff tomorrow. I even bought a ticket and everything 😁
My bed is made, I got weighed 😱, and I've supped my first brew.
Round 1
Brew 2 and breakfast
Get dressed
Feed the birds
Put out the recycling
Wash and recycle glass jars
That'll do for starters.
Have a good day ❤

Morning all,
Lovely to hear from you Piggers xxx
Ah you are very welcome Birthday Girl Fayolle! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did xx
Iona, my lovely, you are so very busy. I would probably have lamped him if he'd rolled his eyes at me, but you are far classier than me xx
Once the children were away to school I washed the dog's bedding, hoovered and wiped out her cage. The bedding is blowing on the line. I have also WULTD (not using the DW here anymore, it's on its last legs and so inefficient), portioned up and frozen the bolognese sauce I made yesterday and eaten my breakfast. I have also put the electric blanket on DD's bed, DS really wants one too but it will have to wait and he can manage with a hot water bottle for now.
I have just done a huuuuuggee (by my standards) Asda order of storecupboard basics to be delivered tomorrow. The £1.75 delivery fee is very worth it, and it's a weight off my mind. I am a bit upset as I have gone overdrawn which I haven't done in years, but it was a bit inevitable really as I have had new uniform bits to buy for the children, a new kettle to buy (I dropped mine last week) and a few other extra expenses. Ah well, it'll all come right in the end!
I am gearing myself up for a HHC - in fact, I am going for it. See you at 11am! x

The phonecall with the bank got me precisely nowhere, so I have replied to their email and asked the specialist team to ring me tomorrow. Maybe they will..... and maybe I can get some sense out of them...
If it's gone, it's done, so what's left is
- deliver a card
- sign and deliver a form
- DW
- if time, take DH's car for a tyre check [the dealers say they can deal with it at 1.30, bless them)
- Rosie's walk
- sweep the lawn
- hospital visiting at 6pm - remember to take DH's stick [ETA: it's now in my car, together with his coming-home clothes, but I've just realised that they all need to be in *his* car because he can't get into mine !!!!] - also allow extra time for rush-hour traffic / darkness / rain
- watch GBBO and WDYTYA
Oh, and I have swept up the bits of rotting wood from the backyard and hoovered out the boot of my car
Desperate for coffee now. Anyone care to join me?
Me "classy", asb?9 -
Iona I am joining you for a cuppa, builders tea for me please! I'll bring chocolate digestives!
WOW! In my HHC I:
- Gave the bathroom a thorough wipe over and replaced the hand towel
- Poo picked
- Gathered up a bin bag full of rubbish (mainly old carpet bits that have been hanging round for way too long) and put them outside so I can take them to the tip tomorrow when I have use of my friend's car
- Collected eggs
- Hoovered all through upstairs
- Found a sock of DS' that has been MIA for a week
It's really amazing what you can do when you force yourself to do a bit, isn't it? x8 -

DH has rung me from the horse piddle - miracles do sometimes happen! His blood tests show high levels of infection markers, so he is to continue with the I-V ABs for a couple of days and will therefore be staying in. That's good for him and good for me. He has also rung his DSis and got some sense out of her regarding her medical problems and how they are being dealt with. Things are looking up.
I have hung up the half-dry load of washing on the airer in the bathroom.
The bank now says we can't have that type of account anyway. I have asked for a number to speak to a manager with experience in the charity banking sector. Not expecting much help there, but you never know.
Lunch next, then DH's car.8 -
Darn it, I missed the choccy digestives. Chocolate ginger biscuit anyone?
Post office and village shop visited, said biscuits bought.
Bedding out on the line. It can stay there for another hour or so.
DD’s car taken for a spin in the autumn sunshine.
Bathroom cleaned, bedroom dusted and floors in both rooms vacuumed while DH was on his lunch break.
DR dusted, and vacuum cleaner run around DR and kitchen. Forgot to dust kitchen shelves and LR, so that’s a job for another day.
Lettuce and leaves picked from the trug to reduce excuses about healthy lunches.
That’s nearly me done now, as a friend is popping in for a cuppa on her way home, then I seem to have an appointment with the Swedish shop with DH when he finishes work, which will involve maybe an hour each way to get to. And many disagreements on the way round, no doubt.
