Car taken to dealers. Nothing wrong, except that DH has somehow got 3 winter tyres and 1 summer tyre on it. I now know which button to press, in order to cancel the annoying warning light if it comes on again. I don't think DH has any idea that the button exists. Anyway, I sat and read food magazines for an hour and drank hot chocolate courtesy of the dealership - all very MSE.
Rosie's walk next...8 -
After walking the dog, I spent a couple of hours at a friend's. Kiddies are now home from school, and I will start dinner shortly. I have re-made the dog's cage with her fresh bedding, and bagged up yet more fiction books to donate to school.
I have a busy (by my standards) day tomorrow as I have use of a friend's car. I will be doing a tip run, dropping a bag of stuff at the CS, buying plenty of bags of chicken feed and visiting my mother. Said friend will get the benefit of lots of lovely HM meals in return for their kindness, and the arrangement suits us both well.
I hope everyone has a lovely evening xx9 -

Spent most of the afternoon trying to sort out my laptop. It's so slow it's ridiculous. Attempted to reset it but it got stuck on 1% so I gave up. DS says it's old!!!! and I maybe need a new one. I bought it in May 2018. I've bought cheaper cars that have lasted longer than that!!!!
Hope your Mum is on the mend piggers and that the police do something about the attack. Xx And look after yourself too xx

Kaz, now how am I going to get through tomorrow?
Fayolle, I hope the visit to the Ukrainian flag store went well.
Carried over onto my list for tomorrow are
- deliver a form
- deliver a card
- sweep the lawn (this is flying)
Add to that:
- WMx1 (this is also flying)
- make a phonecall
- help my boss with a teaching group at 10.30
- go to my Cypriot friend's for a fish'n'chips lunch at 12.30
- walk Rosie
- visit DH at 5.00
- sort toys from my stash for our local Operation Santa collection (this is decluttering)
DH was feeling much better this evening and has been moved into a 4-bed ward. Of course this means that visiting hours are different again. Never mind - it might only be for one more evening...9 -
Oh a belated happy birthday Fayolle.
Hugs to all in need.
I'll summarise my last 2 days:
exercise x 2 (1 run 1 pool swim)
reports finished x 2 (had hoped to finish 3 by now but getting to grips with yet more report format changes)
lots of clothes tidied away
birds fed at least x 2
post sent/received/dealt with
ditto lots of emails
Christmas cards got out and checked to see if we need any more
lots of phone calls made, some received including (to Mr N) a most unwelcome one to say a former work colleague of his, in his early 50s, has lost a battle with stomach C.
paperwork prepared for next 2 days at uni.
various activities including WM, DW etc.
Bit of food shopping done (c00p vouchers used)
bit of drum practice done.
Organised and checked diary for the next few weeks.
I'd love to join in the Flylady Secret Santa. Just a thought; if people are concerned about posting costs/materialism etc I would be happy to donate to a charity instead. I've mentioned before that in our family, several of us choose a charity appropriate (or beloved to) the recipient and just donate. I usually use The Big Give in the first week of Dec as your donation is doubled, then I make up a card for the recipient with details and photos of the charity. Just an idea anyway.

Hi everyone, I know I've not posted for a while however it's that time of where again where everything feels like it's getting on top of me, so thought I would come back and join you lovely lot to keep myself accountable to at least get some flying done. I won't try and do the impossible to catch up on the thread, therefore I will just say hello to everyone and hugs to those who want/need them.
My list for today:- Make my bed
- Attend lectures at uni
- Make a festive food shopping list, as Mr T slots open on Tuesday
- Declutter the floor of the bedroom
- Empty the office and bedroom bins.
- Contact my freelance client regarding the new work.
- Encourage the little ones to write Santa letters so I can start putting together a present shopping list.
- Speak to dh regarding the car that he has been looking at as his car went to the scrap man yesterday, as it was going to cost too much to repair.
- Finish writing the essay for uni module
- Proofread and submit the essay for uni module.
I'm going to try and keep my list short and realistic so that I don't feel overwhelmed. Hope everyone has a good Wednesday.
