Good afternoon, hope everyone is doing well. Today for me has pretty much been busy with paid stuff and uni stuff. The other tasks that I need to tackle today are:
- Check the bank and update excel sheet
- Do 2 loads of laundry
- Speak to dh regarding his potential new car.

DH is home and back to his normal grumpy self.
I have had a couple of very short naps since taking Rosie out, so I will be fit to go to synod this evening.
My kind Cypriot friend has cooked enough food to feed an army and has shared some of it with us, so I've only had to prepare some veg and reheat the orzo bake. I am so grateful.
I' did the first sort of all the loose photos this morning, still got about 8 albums to go.8 -
Iona Sounds like the stool is just going to be in the way and annoy you! Well done on the sorting and I hope DH is home soon. And Pigpen that is such a clear picture, someone must know him.
DS1 has messaged to say that he is poorly and feels fluey. I have messaged him and asked if he can do a Covid test, trying not to worry about him. Work has been manic and I am shattered, I have to log on to a meeting at 7.30pm. Flying has been minimal again, but the house is not too bad.
I am ready for the weekend.10 -
my roof fix is due Monday. I was told that the scsaffolding would go up tomorrow but, just in case, i left the gate unlocked today. and we have half a scaffold. so that was luckyDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

More photos sorted into familiesI decided I did not have the mental energy to cope with synod, so sent my our apologies and will aim to get an early night.
I hope your DS feels better soon.

Idiots at school lied and said Twinkle had been sick so we would pick her up because she has the cold everyone else in the house has or has had, Moomin is snotting everywhere too and I have the start of a sore throat which means I'm getting a second round most likely.. They said she can't go back until she has had a plague test.. erm.. nope.. she has a cold.. and not even a bad one. she is sniffing and has a sore throat so she is coughing after every sniff, she has no temperature, full of beans and is eating normally so I am not wasting resources or subjecting her to a pointless medical procedure there is no need for. !!!!!! is wrong with people, all common sense has disappeared it seems.
OH rage loading the DW.. hey at least it got done.

Ours are super picky.. we bulk buy from Zooplus which is a little bit cheaper than Amazon at the moment.. and topcashback do decent cashback on it. We have litter on easy repeat through pets at home.. register them on their app and you do get some decent offers, you do have to check it though because if they put something on offer they do not honour the offer price on the repeats. Vetuk is cheapest currently for flea and worm stuff... but we use Advantage for 7 and Itch is on trial currently for Pumpkin as she is allergic to the advantage.. and also allergic to fleas.. she is great fun! Worm stuff, we used drontal tablets and drops.. utter rubbish.. in the end we used the beaphar cheap stuff in tablet form because the drops do not work and Nutkin is allergic to them. they cost a fraction of the price and actually worked... it was gross... I have 5 who were 2 in July, Pumpkin is 2 in February and Hazel is nearly 14 and Polly is nearly 12

Hi ladies
It has been a busy few days here, I have been stocking up on chicken feed and freezer supplies for the winter. Lots of batch cooking and general preparedness being done. I am hoping that my ebay listings come good this weekend and tip me back into the black. I have trimmed my own fringe and made some roosting bars for the chickens out of old plastic pipe so I am quite pleased with self.
It is blowing a hooley here so the clothes are triple pegged out with storm pegs! Easy pizza and salad dinner for tea. We have lots of outside jobs to do tomorrow so the children will be my right hand men!
The house isn't too bad, my list of niggling jobs never ends but most require funds that are not here.
Iona - I am glad DH is home but hope he cheers up a bit - remember, no rolling eyes allowed or he gets lamped by ASB! xx
Piggers - I feel your frustration. Sending hugs your way (I know you don't do them but accept this one) xx
YL - I hope he is okay, and you have a restful weekend on the cards xx
Take care all xx9 -
Polite snotty (pun intended!) email sent to school.. I spoke to 111 who advised not to subject twinkle to a pcr test because it is clear she just has a cold.. they could hear the sniff cough sniff cough routine.. she isn't coughing half so much now she has tissues to blow her nose and drinks on demand. I did add to the email I had observed sniffly staff on wednesday at parents evening so it is quite clear why so many children are ill! It is how these things spread!!
everyone fed and hot chocolated..
Squeak is playing on the xbox with twinkle.. I can't even be bothered to argue some things are more important than history.
