Did you appeal to them first? I can't understand what you are saying?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

@Ionelush, this isn't your thread.
It's really not fair to have taken over @Salmil123's thread.
It will only lead to confusion.
You seem to have abandoned your thread -

By all means read and absorb information from this thread, but if you have a PCN of your own, please read the NEWBIES then start your own thread where you will get bespoke help.I married my cousin. Just a quick update. I sent the 'one size fits all' letter to each ticket and they sent me back a letter with some images of signage around the park (One of them was heavily photoshopped!??). The letters stated 'we've considered the points blah blah blah and we feel theres enough signage etc...
Ive also recently just received a 'Final Demand' letter for each. They've added £70 to each one and threatened court action and ccj's etc. The one thing I haven't done is appeal to the IAS which I do regret.
The gym have responded saying the land owner isn't being helpful but discussions are ongoing (doesn't sound promising). Ill now get back onto my local mp and explain the situation.
This is an article in the local paper of a young lady in a similar position. Scary!

Do I now just sit tight and wait for a letter of summons to court? Cheers2 -
They've added £70 to each one
This amounts to double recovery and Judges all over the country are dismissing these spurious additions. Indeed some judges have dismissed entire claims because of this. Read this and complain to Trading Standards and your MP,
Excel v Wilkinson
At the Bradford County Court, District Judge Claire Jackson (now HHJ Jackson, a Specialist Civil Circuit Judge) decided to hear a 'test case' a few months ago, where £60 had been added to a parking charge despite Judges up and down the country repeatedly disallowing that sum and warning parking firms not to waste court time with such spurious claims. That case was Excel v Wilkinson: G4QZ465V, heard in July 2020 and leave to appeal was refused and that route was not pursued. The Judge concluded that such claims are proceedings with 'an improper collateral purpose'. This Judge - and others who have since copied her words and struck dozens of cases out in late 2020 and into 2021 - went into significant detail and concluded that parking operators (such as this Claimant) are seeking to circumvent CPR 27.14 as well as breaching the Consumer Rights Act 2015. DJ Hickinbottom has recently struck more cases out in that court area, stating: ''I find that striking out this claim is the only appropriate manner in which the disapproval of the court can be shown''.

However, VCS appealed this so it may not apply in all cases, read this

Also consider complaining to The SRA about the solicitor, if one is involved They are fully aware of the unlawful nature of most of thse additions yet persist in adding them..

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -
If you are outside the IAS appeal window, then yes you await a court claim (not a summons).
Keep up pressure on the gym. Personally I would cancel my membership saying I can't afford the fees if it comes with an extra £100/170 per visit, and threats of court. Other gyms are available. It might persuade them to put more pressure on the landowner, especially if you contact the press and state you are leaving said gym solely because of the actions of the infestation by an unregulated private parking company, one of many referred to as scammers, rogues, and bloodsuckers by UK MPs across all parties.I married my cousin. Can't believe they sent a photoshopped image. This alone should throw the whole thing out of court2
