Yeah the gym are looking into this for me and the manager told me the land owner was Remstone - I thought he said Remstow and couldnt find anything so ill try and have a dig for some contact details. He was helpful and said they are looking into it. Ive left my contact details with him but he hasn't contacted me yet. I asked on Monday and they still hadn't heard from head office.
Meg the worst case scenario is you get dragged to court and if you have to pay then just set up a direct debit with them. I'm sure a judge will mediate something in your favour (thats what im hoping for). I wouldn't let it bother you too much it wont effect a mortgage application.
The gym manager even said to me don't pay them. They need to come up with something for us though because its obviously a problem for them.
I was in a big panic at first but I'm willing to ride this out now. Not rolling over and dying for these c****!

I have the contact phone number of Remstone 01514480600 I called before to confirm they were the landowners.Oh have they gym said not to pay them?! Right ok. Well my main concern was a ccj or something being issued and affecting my credit score hence the reason I have been tempted to just pay but everything I’m reading is telling me do not pay.I can’t believe they are allowed to get away with sending out these notices 4 months after! Joke!!1

Horrible isn't it.
You will get threatened with ccj's as part of their tactic. if they want to enforce this they have to go legal and summons you to court. Think thats in part 2 of the newbies section.
I think when you ignore the court thats when a judge can issue a ccj.
As I say, worse case scenario you lose in court then give a sob story to the judge and work out a direct debit. Worth the battle for me.
Hopefully the gym will sort something anyway. Thanks for land owner info ill do that today and chase my MP0 -
Have you read this

the writing may well be writ large that these claims are under close scrutinyYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
So they cant issue ccj's for parking tickets?0

Only a court can issue a CCJ - not some dodgy PPC or legal ... and even then it only gets registered IF they raise a claim and IF you lose the case and IF you don't pay the judgment within the stipulated time.
A defended claim should never result in a registered CCJ.Jenni x6 -
