Good morning everyone    Another beautiful morning to wake up to!  I love it when it's sunny but not too hot 

I've had another couple of eBay sales this week, the first in ages, which means I have potted almost £12.  I wondered why my tin was feeling heavier than I expected this week and it turns out that hubby has been popping coppers in after buying his sweets for work from the local shop each Friday. Well I never....
I can't believe that we're almost into September and with pot counting so close!  I have a feeling that a lot of us will need to use our savings towards the energy bills after that, but at least we all do have savings by now thanks to dear Sue and the support gained on this wonderful thread. 

Have a lovely Bank Holiday everyone.  We won't be going anywhere as G is working over the weekend and will need a rest on Monday but on the plus side we won't be spending either

Great potting from everyone!

I've just had a £49ish pay out from TopCashback, so that's been potted straight away! Very satisfying indeed, all for buying travel insurance for two people.

Two months!  Incredible!  May the potting not finish, even if it slows down considerably... x

it It’s been lovely here too @little_sweetie, much more comfortable with a nice breeze.
Whatever we use our final pot totals for, we owe so much to @Sue-UU for keeping this challenge going and keeping us motivated. I am determined that mine will still be used to cover the cost of a short holiday to Wales (effectively all expenses paid thanks to this challenge) as it was last year.

I think your thoughts about many of us needing to put our savings towards our energy bills this time round is quite possibly correct. However, thank goodness we have been potting all year and have the money by us! 🙏 T & I will certainly be potting for the forthcoming rises! Thanks so much for your very kind words A, I just thank goodness we've been able to keep it going!!

T & I had a really gorgeous day with our dear friends, and former Neighbours, on Sunday, a super day.

Hello all, I haven't forgotten you!
Well I came back thinking 'oooo, only a month till opening, I better pop in and say i'm still potting' annnnnnd it's not opening day till 27th Oct!
Soooooo a whole extra month to pot! wooo!
I've had a few roadkill pots, and some notes, not a clue what is in there but am hopeful for a semi decent amount.

Big hugs to you all (you'll just have to imagine dodgy threesome hugging emoji, darn you MSE!)

Found a five pound note on my walk tonight. Best bit of roadkill I’ve had in years but start to feel a bit for someone who has dropped more than a coin or two. Put it straight in the pot.

Cor I should think you would be excited, Ant!! An excellent £5 find, but just like you, aside from that sense of glee, I too can't help but feel so sorry for the person who has lost that cash. 😢

Not so much from me this week in preparation for October's rise. So, £10 transferred to the SPC account, not bad all things considered.

I'm still here, just hiding. Still dealing with DH's, uncle's estate 2 years down the road, who knew selling a flat was so darn problematic! It was the anniversary of his death yesterday so that was a bit of throat lump as FB brought up all the memories, i'm sure he's sat wherever he is, watching me and laughing at me pulling my hair out over his assets 
No potting today as of yet, i'm trying desperately not to go out with rising costs though we are beginning to think it's cheaper to eat out than turn the oven on now!
