When you look at it that way @LittleMissDetermined there’s not long to go at all. Strange to think how much shorter the days will be and how much cooler (theoretically) the weather will be in just 11 weeks or so.

£1.90 potted over the last few days ...hope  you're feeling better @MrsShazbat, a friend of mine recently had a bad dose meaning  he was wrapped up in several jumpers and still couldn't get warm even in these crazy temperatures!🥵

Got a few days holiday from work. Would have travelled to office today but as I don’t need to, have potted the cost of my train ticket.
Stay safe everyone. I’m very much with you @little_sweetie , once it gets this hot it isn’t enjoyable.

It sounds as though you had a bit of a lark in repairing your PC, little_sweetie! I'm pleased you've got it sorted out now. 

Oh T & I detest the heat too, and this lot certainly seems to be hanging around a bit, though so long as it doesn't hang around like it did in '76!! That was wicked heat that just went on and on! 

Take care and don't forget to close your windows and draw your curtains throughout the day to avoid the worst of it.

I hope you had a good time away, LMD, I must admit that I had wondered where you were as you're a very regular visitor.

I also have round ups going to my virtual pot but I can't keep a track of those so well so I don't post for those.

It's been a busy couple of weeks looking after DD's two dogs plus lots of family get togethers.  I know the heat was quite intense but it has been lovely to have meals outside without worrying about goosebumps!  It's finally broken here and it's raining as I type.  The ground absolutely needs it so I'm not going to complain.  We have  our own well and it's flow has reduced significantly in the past few days.  In 22 years I've never known it run dry but there's always a first time.  Luckily we also have mains water and only use the well for the garden and the cows/sheep in our fields.

Potting £12.83 this week.  Enjoy the cooler weather folks and stay safe.

I have potted some coins but seem to be spending for Christmas already!  I’ve got my boy a couple of hoodies for his Christmas box and I’ve bought a jar of homemade honey from a work colleague who has his own hive; Alex loves honey 🍯 My biggest splurge though was today when I booked a joint pre Christmas present for us both, Mary Poppins tickets in the west end 🎭.  I will have forgotten the cost by then and I thoroughly mean to enjoy it ☂️

Hi Siju, it's good to hear that at least you've enjoyed the heat, we just can't stand it so we've pretty much stayed indoors apart from early morning or late evening. A friend of ours loves the heat, I guess it all depends on our makeup.

Ours finally broke during last night, then today it was a real joy to watch gentle rain for several hours, but later it poured down, but no thunderstorms as yet.

So fortunate to have a well at times such as these, even moreso where there are livestock.

No doubt Alex will love his hoodies, and at least your meal is already paid for. 😋

Quite a few folk have enjoyed getting their own Bees and hives, and a friend in the next village has had his own for years, making his own honey too. Local honey is supposed to be so much better for us if we have allergies as the Bees take it from local flowers so the honey isn't from unknown areas. I love it!! Enjoy Mary Poppins when it comes! 😊
