Happy Friday Potters! I hope you've all enjoyed the week, and are still doing so at least for today. Get ready for a lovely weekend. It's been quite a lovely week weather wise.
For all those who are poorly, have Covid, or are down in
any way.
Take great care and get well soon. Best wishes from
us all.
I know what you mean about trying not to think about the astrononmiclly high price increases, Ant,
but how on earth do we NOT!! It really makes you wonder whenever it's
going to end! I feel so sorry for Martin Lewis as you can tell just how
distraught he is not being able to do anything for the first time!
Very
well saved, and if you're able, keep it up! BTW our Covid No's for
today are 5662 so thank heavens it's gone down from 15,000 last week!
Keep very safe.
Well saved Siju!!
It sounds as though you and your DH did some really good work, but what
depth you had to dig to get passed the dry soil! How on earth the poor
blackbirds etc get on... It's possibly the reason ours now eat sunflower
hearts. Still, you achieved what you desired - and then - came the
rain!
Thank goodness T
& I aren't high electricity users, and like you, there are only the 2
of us. I feel so terribly sorry for those on mortgages, and possibly HP
for cars.. let alone kiddies!! However folk like that are going to cope
is truly beyond me!!
Take care.
Hi Lost
and brilliant potting!!! Not quite sure what you mean about bashing
your card, unless you mean that you used it this time. I understand what
you mean about the year going fast, I've been ok time wise this year,
but T is often saying how fast it goes for him.
Take care Lost.
£15 transferred across to the SPC account.
NB. COVID is still about, folks, and even though, locally, the Nos are going down a lot, there are still 22.000 new cases each day!! 😯 Anyone who wishes to help with the Noscan go to Covid tracking at Zoe and join us all with Professor Tim Spectre. It takes less than a minute per day, if that, but it helps Tim and his team immensely
Enjoy a WONDERFUL WEEKEND Potters, but beware, of Covid!!
Sue xx
NB folks: The opening date for this year is 27th October 2022
Good morning everyone. £2.10 potted to start the week. Planning to add more during the week.

Well the rain has arrived, it's just drizzle today which I know we need but we are looking after DD's two dogs for the next couple of weeks. They are very sad about the rain as they love chasing each other around our garden but hate getting wet Hoping things will improve tomorrow.
Another £6.47 in the pot this week. Keep safe and well folks
£4.00 potted in the form of 2 lovely £2 coins, hope everyone has had a good start to August. I agree with the comments about the year going so fast! X

Hello 👋. Mainly been potting coppers but managed £30 the other week. I’m already warning Alex that Christmas will be small this year (smaller than normal which is already small) but he doesn’t really understand. I’m working overtime on Saturday which is extremely rare but my boys behaviour has been much improved so I feel able to help out. I have had to get further new glasses only 6 months after my others. I collect them tomorrow so fingers crossed. I just can’t see properly which causes no end of issues so I decided just to go and get an eye test elsewhere and start again. The therapy treatment I am investing in for my son seems to be having an effect. It’s Retained Reflexes therapy (I’d never heard of it either!). We have a reassessment at the end of the month and should be given additional exercises for him to do, hopefully the ones to help the hand eye coordination which should help with his writing problems. We are also starting to get produce from the allotment which is helping with the funds a bit 😁
Well done on the potting @Hettyhound, every hard saved bit of money adds up. I added another £2 to my tin today. Little and often for me at the moment. You can’t beat your own veg. I’ve only ever managed tomatoes home grown and they were amazing. Im sure your Alex will understand about Christmas more than you think. It’s certainly not worth getting into debt over. So many people overspend madly at Christmas and then have to pick up the pieces in the New Year.
