Afternoon potters!

I do believe I nearly found my first 'roadkill' today, However it was dropped by the child whose Mother was tugging him along as they walked in front of me. I called out and pointed down at what looked like a 10p. They stopped to collect the coin whilst I passed and carried on walking. When I got home I emptied out all the small change from my satchel pockets, I think I counted £1.30, so that went in my tin.

Meanwhile, some good news. Arriva buses started again last weekend, so my transport costs have shot down... my feet are grateful too!

I called into Barclays again today (groan) and finally...FINALLY got someone to get a hold of their inhouse debt recovery team.
So I got the info I needed to settle the debt. It's exactly £2000, leaving me with £300 spare because it took so long to sort out. I confirmed that I will go back into the bank on Monday and make this last payment. The £300 will go into NEXT years holiday tin.

Goodbye Barclays - It's been a grind!

I'm off work tonight (booked in advance as I didn't know when the bus strike was ending). I might do some baking...overnight too to make use of the lower electric cost.... just need to find a baking thread for ideas but I'm thinking triple choc muffins lol.

Back to potting again at last! £1.20 added today
I had to walk past a bright shiny 1p in the supermarket this afternoon as it was stuck in the mat at the exit door & I thought I wouldn't risk getting tripped over and causing a pileup at the automatic doors 😅
