I'm very sorry for your loss @Hummingbird0_12, and my condolences to you and your family. My father passed away in a hospice in April 2020 and although it was expected as he'd been very ill for a very long time, it was still a shock to the system. So although I don't know exactly how you're feeling as we're all different and grief hits us in different ways, I can empathasise with how you might be feeling.

Please just take the minutes, hours and days as they come. And remember that there is no right or wrong way to grieve, and in whatever capacity you can, try and find a moment or two each day to be kind to yourself. As you're probably very overwhelmed. We're all here for you, to offer support and a listening ear if you want. Take care xx

I have been adding some coins and forgetting to post, it's been a busy week for me. One thing I have done is set my Monzo account to round up any payments I make when shopping and send the round up to my sealed pot. This will mean there are more regular small virtual payments and every little helps!

I'll be back tomorrow with my monthly regular payments - I promise!

I agree with the lovely words of Keedie. We all grieve in different ways. Personally, I have found the passage of time to be a great healer. Doesn’t mean I miss my Dad any less though.

Sorry I've been missing recently, we went on holiday for two weeks and then DD and DGS came to stay, so it's all been a bit crazy.  Sending hugs to anybody who needs them 

Potting has continued in my absence and this weeks offering is £8.33.  Enjoy the rest of your week, let's hope the weather picks up!

Good Morning to all SPCers. I hope you're all having a good week, even though we're paying the price of the beautiful weather of last week. Still, there's better weather to come from the end of the week! Take care everyone as no doubt you'll know where into another wave of COVID, such a shame when it's supposed to be much better in the summer months, not so this year!

For all those feeling poorly or low in any way, I hope you'll soon feel so much better. Love and best wishes for now.

Hi Ant, what you've said to Hetty about her Aunt coupled what the Dr said to yours is relatively goodish news. You can certainly see why they wouldn't wish to put them through treatment for it.

So very sorry to hear the very sad news about your mother's passing, Hummingbird. You're right in that it always comes as a shock even when we know it's going to happen, whilst there's life there's hope I suppose. 

Sincere condolences to you and all your family on her sad loss.

Don't worry about SPC as you'll have plenty to do, as well as grieving which takes many different ways of doing. Give way to any tears or feelings as they happen as it's all a part of grief. Take very great care of yourself. 

Yours are very kind words indeed, Keedie, you too have obviously experienced your own partings with loved ones much as most of us have.

The passage of time does indeed makes a real difference, Ant. It makes no difference whatsoever to us still missing loved ones many years after they've passed on, but we've come to terms with the acceptance so I find we miss them in a different way, but with just as much love.

Hi Siju, I hope you both thoroughly enjoyed your holiday and had good weather. No doubt you'll also have enjoyed the company of your daughter and grandson, especially as he'll be starting to develop more now.

I've made an early transfer into the SPC account this week, so that's another £15 saved!

Keedie I will remember what you have said and try to take a day at a time, & Antomac you are so right that the passage time helps, it did so with my Dad too back in 2016. Sending love to others here who have had sad times to deal with recently. It is so lovely that we are a family here on this thread and can be here to support each other xx💝🌹

No good news from me I'm afraid. Just some bits & bobs for my copper tin.

I did send what is hopefully a final letter to the debt collection agency. National Debtline provided me with a letter template which basically says Bla bla bla under the Data Protection Act, this company can't withhold any information they have about me, and that it's reasonable for them to provide this information to me & that I can give then 30 days to do this. I just want a balance to settle the debt.

Thing is, I'm not sure what to do if they don't respond again

Arriva buses are still on strike, I think they were having another meeting today so I'll keep an eye out on their Twitter feed.

I'm knackered, my feet are soo sore, it's time for my afternoon sleep, take care all

It must be very frustrating for you @rancid-a as you have done everything you can. All being well you will get a proper answer in the near future.
l have potted a few more pounds this week, including a couple from cancelling the milk.
Your potting is going very well @Sue-UU - You must be on course for a very healthy total. True what you say about missing people as well, even after them being gone a long time.
We got a proper drenching here today in Somerset. We all get our turn with the rain.
