I potted a few more pound coins of change and my pot is now full, so have started on a smaller tin. Wife just came back from a break and as she knows it’s in such a good cause (A fully paid for short break) she gave me four spare pound coins she had left from her break.
Enjoy the nicer weather but take care if it gets really hot, which I think it will by Friday.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 55 -
Hi allI've not really saved anything since my last post I'm afraid. However I did buy another tin and stick a £10 note in it. This will cover my rent if I do manage to go on holiday late next year. I'm not including this new tin in this years final saving amount as I won't be opening it until you guys open next years tin.Two letters to the debt collector & still no reply. I've written to Barclays Bank instead - apparently it's their inhouse collections department anyway. Meanwhile as they are still taking the weekly payments, the amount owed is going down (slowly) leaving me with more than enough to end the loan. We're into the 2nd week of the Arriva bus strike, lots of money has been spent on getting taxis to & from work £60+ last week. It would have been double this if it weren't for the fact that I walked to & from work a few times last week too. I actually hate walking to work as I'm all sweaty when I get there (not to mention the sore feet). I don't mind walking home to much though as I can just fall into bed when I get through the door. Shame none of the other workers live out my way. I need to find other ways to cut down on the taxi fares. I booked two nights off work this week (Tue & Thu), so that will help a little. Hoping the bus strike ends real soon!Hope everyone is enjoying the weather we're having (up north).
Best wishes to all

Good Morning SPCers! I hope you're all enjoying this gorgeous weather! For all those of you either unwell or low in spirits, take very great care and get well soon. Love and best wishes from us all. ❤️ KEEP CLEAR OF COVID as it's still around and rising, even Martin had it last week!!You're most welcome Adele, you're part of the family now!Great potting Ant!! I had a feeling you'd soon have to start on another pot. Oh, how lovely of your wife, another £4 in the pot!I hope you too had chance to enjoy some of the lovely weather, but TAKE CARE ALL IN THIS VERY HOT WEATHER!! Keep the sun tan close by too!Hello again James! Don't worry about not having potted anything, though £10er for next year is fantastic!!Obviously no help from the debt collector, useless under the circumstances! At least the bank are a little more helpful, let's hope it'll soon sort itself out and you'll be free from debt.!! 🤩Though Arriva can't be helping much! 🙄 Let's hope the strike will soon end so you can at least benefitthere! It must be costing a small fortune at present.I can understand how you'd be sweating after the walk to work, but at least you have the coolest time of day for walking home again. It's going to be a hot one today, sotake great care of yourself James.Yet another £4.50 in your pot, LMD?!
