I'm so sorry to hear you've been unable to pot any cash at all, Cobweb18, but did you realise you can also use your bank to save money?! See below. I'll send a PM to you in case you don't see this.

Another £15 transferred to my SPC account!! Which I will take out in October. I've done my 'pot' this way since the start of Covid due to not wanting the virus transferred.

Very true LMD!! Good potting for you too! So good to hear about the standing order with your virtual savings!!

What a heartbreaker, Hummingbird!! 🥺 Like you, I'd also have find it hard to eventually have to pass it by, but on the other hand, problems to try to pick it up! 🥴
I hope things are a little more gentle for you, just keep taking care of yourself.

Potted another £8 tonight. Little and often, it feels like it’s adding up to something decent come October. Sorry to see you go @Cobweb18 - Hopefully you will be in a position to come back at a future date.

I cannot believe I have not posted on here since December 22nd 🫣 Where has that time gone?
In fact I haven’t posted much at all anywhere this year, life has a way of keeping us busy…

I know everyone has had heir own challenges this year and somehow we scrape through them and keep going. It’s tough out there in more ways than one…

Sending hugs to all out there and hoping better times are on the horizon for us all in the not so distant future 🤗

On the potting front I am still potting little bits here and there. The cash for containers recycling has slowed since my son and girlfriend moved into their own home and I tend to use the card more these days since covid landed, but I don’t think I’m doing too badly 🤞

Have a lovely Sunday folks, take care in the sun and keep hydrated 😊

Happy Monday Potters! I hope you all thoroughly enjoyed the glorious weekend, and with forethought will have a good week ahead. Take great care in the heat though folks!
For all those who are poorly, have Covid, or are down in any way. Take great care and get well soon. Best wishes from us all. <3

Hi Cobweb18, thanks so much for your reply and your kind comments. I quite accept that you're clearly unable to save in any way for this year. Hopefully, times will make it more able for us all to be able to save as normal, but for now I'll remove your name from the list. Don't forget though, as soon as you're able to save again it'll be a pleasure to welcome you back. All the very best to you and take care of yourself.

A great amount potted, Ant, and all being a great help for you after October's count up.

Hi mummytummy, I hoped you'd be along soon, though sooner than this I must admit!! I'm sure time goes so much faster since Covid showed it's ugly face! 😤 I agree, it's certainly a tougher world these days. 😮‍💨
Then there's Neighbours finishing for good on the 29th due to C5 and money! 😢 I know they've had some daft storylines at times, but some excellent ones too. I'll miss it a great deal, as at present there's not a lot on for hubby and I. For now though they're all doing a lot of fun things through Twitter and YouTube which is making it all easier. 😊

All the best for your son and his girlfriend. Keep potting and it's been wonderful seeing you back again, just don't be a stranger, please! Take care.

I know you're all bound to be aware of THE EXTREME HEAT, and by golly, it's EXTREMELY HOT WHEN putting the washing out!! We'll have more of the same tomorrow, maybe even hotter, so DO TAKE CARE!!

Take great care folks, and beware of COVID!!! 😯

Enjoy a lovely Monday & Tuesday Potters!

    Sue xx

NB folks: The opening date for this year is 27th October 2022

The heat really is quite extreme isn't it Sue? I had to remove Mum's old bedroom carpet and underlay ahead of her having new flooring. Thought I was going to melt! I do feel for the poor chap fitting the new flooring today. Was half expecting them to cancel. It's a lot worse in mainland Europe of course.
Potted another 2 pound coin today. Stay hydrated and as cool as you can everyone.

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing your best to stay cool.  I agree @AntoMac any kind of manual work must be awful in this heat.  I particularly feel for those having to work outdoors. Cooler days in the forecast from tomorrow and I'm sure everyone will be pleased for cooler nights!

We've had a busy few days.  On Saturday, DH and I looked after our GS for the day and on Monday we looked after our GD for the day.  I was worried that they would be unsettled, firstly because it was so hot and secondly because they have only ever been left for short periods of time with us.  I need not have worried, they were fantastic, really happy and a real pleasure to look after.  Nanna and Grampa need a lie down now though

Another £7.03 in the pot this week.  Stay cool and covid free everyone :)
