Happy Friday Potters! I hope you've all
enjoyed the week, aside from the scorching heat of Monday and Tuesday. What a wicked heat Take care in MORE heat forecast at the weekend though folks!
For all those who are poorly, have Covid, or are down in
any way. Take great care and get well soon. Best wishes from
us all.
Oh I quite agree, Ant, it was a wicked heat, but yes, far worse in Europe, poor folk.
I felt so sorry for you and the carpet fitter, what a job to do in THAT weather!! Still, hats off to him for not postponing it.
You
must have had more rain than T & I as the majority of it was
drizzle, more yesterday but only a 1/2 hours worth! Hopefully, more
should be coming asap from the Atlantic and thunderstorms from France -
really they'd be better off being able to keep it, poor souls.
Re your 2nd post, Ant, I really don't blame you not going to work as found it even hotter than Monday, especially in the afternoon and evening!
Money well saved!!
Hello Siju!
So you've been very busy with the babies, how lovely! Though I can see
why you'd have been concerned about them given the terribly hot weather.
Still, so long as they're not held with too much contact for too long
they're not too bad. It was an awful few days (and nights!) though, and
will soon be back, though not quite so bad, thank goodness!!
Good potting Siju and you keep cool and Covid free too!
£15 transferred to the SPC account
Take great care folks,
and beware ofCOVID as well as some more HEAT!!! 😯
Have a BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND Potters, but beware, of Covid too!!!

Saved and potted 40p on my cat’s food yesterday as found it cheaper elsewhere on my evening walk. Potted another £4.50 cash today. Have a good weekend everyone

What a horrid week - I hate the extreme heat - It's been really bad at work too through the nights, We've got those massive floor fans and they are utterly useless except for blowing warm air around, And what's this with people at Dover being caught in 6+ hour traffic jams whilst trying to go on holiday...to get more sun & more heat? Dear oh dear!
I'm just back from Mums, got caught in a nice light drizzle of rain . A few weeks ago, I bought her a tin to put coppers in but she's been putting 50p into it instead, that meant she had loads of small change collecting on the mantlepiece. I offered to swap her collection for a few 50ps I had in my satchel.
I think I've potted about £3 in coppers this past week? My tin is getting really full, I'm not sure it's going to last until October.
No debt issues this week, but I did get 4 letters from various departments at Barclays: #1. they can't find my account and would need more info etc. #2. The info I actually asked them for about what info they had about me - this came on about 40 sheets of paper but was useless, there was no Balance owed on the debt with them, just a copy of the original loan agreement & some sort of account statement that went back to 1999(!). #3. A letter off their recovery team, saying thank you, the debt was now paid, no action would be taken against me, and finally letter #4 (which arrived last) from their recovery team giving me a balance of £2000 owed. Lol.
Enjoy the rest of Sunday everyone, I'm off to do some baking, well not exactly baking....thinking Mississippi Mud Pie, with ice cream
There certainly seems to be some deficiencies in Barclays’ internal workings @rancid-a Here’s hoping you save enough extra to have to go to an overflow tin I picked up and potted 5p roadkill from my walk earlier. Always love a bit of roadkill

Happy Monday Potters! I hope you've all
enjoyed a really lovely weekend, though not quite as hot as they originally forecast, though plenty enough. Have a good week ahead.
Thank goodness the Covid For all those who are poorly, have Covid, or are down in

I know you've always got your eyes wide open for whichever way you can pot extra, Ant, brilliant potting!
Well done you, LMD!
That's what I like to see, $ from you mummytummy, excellent potting!
It was a rotten week heat wise, James! It doesn't sound as though you had much relief from it from via the fans at work either! 😵💫
It sounds as though we've somehow got to get used to it though which doesn't bear thinking of. 😒
Well done between your mum and yourself for coin collecting, good potting too!
What a lark with Barclays??!!! 😒
Ooh that Mississippi Mud Pie sounds delicious to me!! 😋 Enjoy it.
Take great care folks,
and beware ofCOVID - even though the Nos are going down!! 😯
Have a BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND Potters, but beware, of Covid too!!!

Another £3 cash potted today. Happy with that. Trying not to think too much about the forthcoming huge energy bill rises. For now it’s fairly easy to keep up regular potting.
Stay safe everyone. There’s still plenty of covid about.

Another busy week, but gardening this time! Once the weather turned cooler, we decided to dig two new borders into our lawn. Phew! that was tough work, we dug down about a foot and the ground was so dry We managed to get it finished and planted before the rain came, thankfully
I know how you feel @AntoMac about the energy rise that is forecast.....it's impossible to get away from it. We aren't particularly high users as it's just the two of us but I certainly feel for families trying to get everyone to remember to turn all their devices off.
Another £5 in the pot this week. Enjoy the rest of your week Potters
I shouldn’t really moan @siju , I know we’ll be ok as long as we tighten up on a few things but there will be some who will really struggle with the increases, and I do feel for them.
Well done on the gardening and the potting.
