Good to see plenty of potting still going on. Added a couple of two pound coins to my pot, which is now getting fairly heavy.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 54

Hi
On Sat 30 April I transferred my pots savings to my bank account. The total amount in the pot was £36.40.
The pot is less heavy now with only 40p in it.

Hi Sue & hi all you savers out there!A little update from meI've still got a few weeks to go before I can finally get rid of my debt to Barclays Bank Collection services. This is because I've not been doing a full week at work the past couple of weeks. The work problem is basically down to machines breaking down with no immediate fix from the available engineers, resulting in staff being asked if they want to go home (unpaid, obviously). Saying no means waiting around in a place I can't stand to be, hoping something gets fixed. The other option is agree to go home - there's no buses at 01:00 so it's either walk the 6 miles or get an Uber - I hate Uber, my trip home sometimes costs £9+ or on a bad night when there are few taxi drivers on the road, £28+ I walked home twice last week, I'm seriously not paying over the odds for an Uber ride. The new challenge for me over the next couple weeks or so is trying to do work a full 5 days or without time off.My broadband switch is nearly complete, just a few more days. My old supplier got in touch to say I would owe them £6 due to the crossover not being insync with my contract ending, but that's fine.Awaiting my Plusnet reward card now
that's £75, not sure where I'll be able to spend that, hopefully Amazon?
Looking forward to my Council tax rebate too but I can't find a pay out date on this, just sometime in May.My savings tin is getting quite heavy, but I've no idea what's in there, mostly small copper & silver with a few 20psHope everyone is doing okay with their tins.

Hi James, don't worry too much about not being able to pay off your debt, little amounts as and when you're able is better than nothing. You've certainly got work problems at the moment so accept them for what they are and relax at the times you're able to.I'm fairly sure you work nights, and at that time of night, you really don't want to be walking the 6 miles home!! Neither do you want to be throwing your wages away on taxis or ubers!! Try your best to sit it out at work until the machine is fixed. Take a book or anything you enjoy doing and relax while you can.I'm so glad you're pleased with the way your broadband is going, and £6 isn't worth worrying about not when you've a £75 voucher to look ahead to!Is their no telephone No on your Council Tax rebate James?Whatever's in your pot will be enough to look forward to, keep adding as much as you can when you're able. Please keep safe James, and remember, risks are never worth taking!! 😮💨

Hello everyone, I’m still potting little and often which is unspectacular but should get me that lovely ‘paid for’ break at the end of the year.
Just to echo what Sue said @rancid-a , you have done so well getting your debt right down. The slight delay is beyond your control but you’ve done all the hard work. It will be a good feeling when you cross the line to debt freedom.
Funnily enough I’ve just switched my Mum’s broadband to Plusnet as well. It certainly pays to shop around.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 55 -

Hi Sue and all you savers out there.
Work has gone well for the rest of this week, I even got to work overtime this morning, which upset my body clock, as I normally work nights (and have done for the past 16 years). I came out into the sunlight and felt like a vampire wanting to retreat back inside!
I also potted about 35p today when I emptied my shoulder bag of all the coppers that get dropped in there when given bits of change as I'm shopping.
Thank you @AntoMac. Speaking of Mum's, I was just looking at my Mum's BT bill online, I cannot believe they charge her forty seven pounds for basic fibre- Must be because she's been with them for years. Her contract is up in a month, I need to let her see what she could probably save.
Have a nice weekend...Oh! there's only 3 hours left of itSealed Pot Challenge 15 #78
