A very good Saturday folks, have a really great weekend all!
To
all members who are poorly in any way or low in spirits, I sincerely
hope you're very soon feeling much better and back with us. For now,
love to you all. ❤️
Very well done LMD, a good amount saved! What on earth is PADDING?!
A Happy belated Birthday to you Hetty! 💖 A well spotted 5p, C!
Poor you Vicky,
thank goodness it's not quite so bad these days as when it first came
in. I hope you're soon feeling a lot better. What about your DH, did he
catch it?!
We've had a lot of folk in one part of
the village (now known as COVID Alley) where one partner has caught it
but not passed it on to the other! Very odd. One said she'd tried hard
but couldn't succeed. I think she was joking. 🤔
Very good potting regardless! Have a lovely weekend.
I've managed to transfer £20 to the SPC account!! 😃
Have a GREAT WEEKEND folks. Keep safe and well all!
Sue xx
NB folks: The opening date for this year is 27th October 2022
@Sue-UU PADding is making a Payment ADay - there's a thread in the challenges where we all make extra payments to our debts or savings each day. I tend to round down the bank account to my remaining credit card debt. It all adds up over the month!
Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...
Sorry to be missing again for a while, Sue, but I've not been feeling 100% well I've been feeling very dizzy at times and just over a week ago finally spoke to a GP on the telephone after redialling 74 times! She called me in for a face to face appointment but she doesn't really know what's causing it. She 'guessed' that a virus (not Covid) had affected my inner ear so gave me some tablets to try. They don't seem to be doing much really but I'm hoping the dizziness will just fade away eventually..... Meanwhile I haven't been going far, so only potting coins in dribs and drabs. 41p potted today but I have had a couple of small fleabay sales and have sent the proceeds to my SPC account.
Little sweetie - I hope you're on the mend very, very soon. Amazing that you managed to get a face to face appointment - they are like rocking horse poo round here! Not much help if you're still not right, though. xx
Sue - incredibly, my DH didn't catch Covid when I had it. He wasn't very well at the time with a stomach bug, but continued to test negative! Crazy! I think we're in an extension of your COVID Alley.
Done a little bit of general banking and took the opportunity to sweep about £6ish into my pot. Not quite the $44bn that Elon Musk has just spent on buying Twitter, but I bet he doesn't feel that little twinge of satisfaction every time he pops some money into his sealed pot! Though, maybe he does. Maybe I'm doing him a disservice...
We finally got our weekend break in Centerparcs after many cancellations - originally booked for April 2020 when there were no babies on the scene. It was a lovely break and we spent far more time in our lodge than in the past due to the number of naps and feeds two little ones require but had some wonderful walks and a bit of time in the baby pool. DH and I are home to recover for a few days!!!
Only a virtual £5 in my pot this week. Enjoy the May BH next weekend folks
Hi SPCers! I hope your enjoyed the weekend and are having a good week. Have another really Great Bank Holiday Weekend!!
For all those with Covid, or other illness, and those down in the dumps, take great care and get well soon!
Ah, thanks a lot for that, LMD,
I just couldn't think what it might be. It makes sense for those often
in town etc too, not me though as we only used to go once a week. Since
Covid we get all our shopping on line, which as we live 8 miles out of
town
Costs less than a trip into town!
An excellent amount done virtually!!
Many thanks for the PADing acronym meaning and keep saving one way or tother!
Oh poor you little_sweetieA, though
a face to face appointment!!! 😱 They're like gold dust here!! Ear
problems are notorious for making you dizzy, let's hope it soon clears
up and stops the awful dizziness. I'm surprised she didn't try you on
drops first though! 😵💫 Don't leave it too long if the symptoms fail
to go away. I hope G is a bit better these days. T's pills failed to
last long, they gave him continuous awful mouth ulcers! Such a rotten
shame as they marvellous for the spine problems. The Dr gave him another
2, but no good, he's had 2 other lots, no good. 😟 He's now on a drug
for epilepsy! I can see the reason why, though T made a few quips about
the 2 of us 'catching' it, to calm the nerves in etc, but no good
either. At least the Dr was the best he's ever had and really tried
hard, sadly he was a Locum and left 2 weeks ago!!
Very well done with the potting, the fleabay earnings too!! Fingers crossed for the ear and especially the dizziness!
You and your rocking horse poo quip, Vicky!
🤣😂 It really gave me a darned good giggle, mind you it's the same
here! With all the appointments T's had with his spine problems, not
one has been a face to face - so to speak!!
At
last, we've had a wife pass it on to her hubby, but COVID has spread
all around the village now. We're all beginning to wonder if affairs
have been going on!! 😱 If that's the case there must be a lot of em who
are Asymptomatic!! 😂
Stomach aches/problems are one of the symptoms, maybe your DH only had half a dose hence the negative test, who knows!
Good for you with your general banking!! Talking of dollars, well you were, Elon Musk sounds more like a ruddy perfume!! 🫣
Another couple who spent time at Centreparcs, Siju!!
So many folk we know spent Easter there, we've never even been! I see
what you mean about time needing to be spent in the lodge due to the
treasures, bless them. 👶👶
I'm so pleased you thoroughly enjoyed your walks, T and I so enjoy walks around here, so much woodland, hills and so forth.
You rest and relax.
A virtual £5 is a lot better than none, so good for you! You enjoy the Bank Holiday too Siju.
Have a lovely Wednesday folks. Keep safe and well all!
