MIA for a while, life turns upside down sometimes, my dearest friend's son died suddenly age 46, my hubby was rushed into hospital with chest pain, eldest daughter has a major fibromyalgia flare, I feel torn who to go to first. On a lighter note my grandson has decided he's going to make an invisibilty injection and the major ingredient is Unicorn poo! He's looked on Amazon and Ebay but no luck so far, last night he was trying to work out a way of making fake Unicorn poo. This kid keeps us all on the ball with his imagination. Still potting away though, over £100 so far. Hope everyone's well and happy x

Oh your grandson seems just the tonic after all your upsets lucyhope
Seem to have had a busy couple of weeks, we stayed with my DS to help him with some garden changes (well DH and DS did the work, I just played with the baby) Last weekend DH and I had dance exams so we were busy preparing for that. All went well, but the proof of the pudding is in the results!
Another £7.38 in my pot this week. Enjoy the rest of the week PottersSPC 16 - #09 Totals: 2014 - £264.51 2015 - £207.50 2016 - £396.79 2017 - £369.49 2018 - £484.24 2019 - £309.90 2020 -£282.06 2021- £1839.89 2022 -£1627.835 -
Hi all, can I join you and have a number please?
I always save change whenever I use cash, and don't spend £2 or 50p coins and I've managed to go on some good holidays over the years doing this. I'm trying to clear my debt within 2 years and as it is all interest free (lots of credit card transfers), I'm trying various challenges to build up some savings so that I have a safety net instead of credit and I can treat myself to something without feeling guilty. I had a catch up read and you're all doing so well, it's really inspiring and I'll be keeping my beady eyes open for roadkill 😂!Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

Deliberately walked to the cashpoint to take some money out for a small grocery shop, so that I could put the change in my tin, so 98p potted today.Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

Here's hoping you soon get well, love and best wishes from us all. 💖Very well done LMD!! It definitely pays to sort through our furniture, especially sofas and the like.Oh my word, Lucy, what terrible events you and the family have had to deal with in recent weeks! The poor parents and loved ones of your dear friend, they must be absolutely devastated, sincere condolences to them all. How's your DH now? Am I right in thinking you've had a previous scare with him? Whichever, I really do hope he recovers well and stays that way, your elder DD too poor girl. Although I don't know a great deal about Fibromyalgia I would imagine it's terribly painful! How long does a flare up last?Your dear grandson has clearly got an extremely vivid imagination! I'm not even going to ask just what he expects to get out of it all!! 😵💫Brilliant potting Lucy, fantastically great work!!Hi Siju, I'm not sure whether Lucy's grandson is a tonic or a nightmare! 😱 I'd be terrified of what was coming next!! Little terror. 🤣You had the right idea of playing with your DGS while DH and DS sorted out the garden together. How old are both little treasures now?Fingers crossed with the results of the dance exams!Excellent potting too!!Eldest darling grandson and his lovely Fiancee got engaged on Tuesday evening and are both ecstatic! She found him on one knee in the kitchen with 4 little cakes bearing the words, she apparently squealed YES!! The ring is do beautiful. She has 2 little girls who idolise him! Wonderful news I just had to share with our SPC family!Another tooth extracted this week, I'm now problem free.£15 transferred to the SPC account, very happy all things considered.Have a FANTASTIC WEEKEND folks.Keep well and safe!

Thanks @Sue-UU for such a warm welcome. I'll be potting away whenever I can, and I can visualise my debt free life and so that keeps me going when I'm feeling overwhelmed or down about it all.
I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome and the skin sensitivity and widespread body pain and being drained of energy with fibromalygia is really tough to deal with at times and quite debilitating. So I sympathise with anyone else affected by it, and the flare ups can sometimes be so random and last ages, or have a quick turnaround, it's just a rollercoaster at times.Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

Good morning all you potters
Tomorrow I can finally do it, the overtime I did the past week means I can finally call into Barclays Bank and ask them to contact whatever arm of their branch deals with defaulted loans and pay off the remainder of the balance I owe (£2150).I'm still more than a bit worried that I haven't done my calculations properly and owe tons more, it's playing havok with my stomach nerves too lol.November 2008 I bought my first tin and joined the first Sealed Pot Challenge, it seems such a long time ago, sadly I've been paying off my debts for far longer...1997ish?? I can barely remember holding down too full time jobs (one days, one nights) although I do remember one boss telling me I was a bit smelly, lol I probably was!
Anyway, last week, I got my Council tax refund (£150) for the electric - which can help to pay the balance above if need be. I'm quite far in front with my electric, thanks to stupid EonNext who raised my direct debit a bit back. It's still too high for me & I'll need to lower it again later or I'll just end up hundreds of pounds in front again (£115 at the moment).
I've put loads of 20ps in my tin this week, I asked my Mum if she would save some for me, then I'll give her £1 coins in exchange.
I think I'll try to chill for the rest of the day... might even have a snooze in the afternoon
Hope everyone has a nice Sunday, although it's a bit wet up here in Dewsbury
And if you're reading Sue, I hope all is well with you
x

This is great news James! Are you at a point where it’s worth offering a full and final at a lower rate?
