Good to see good potting still happening. I have potted my usual travel savings this week, along with a few pounds received in change, as dealing a bit more in cash now.Have a good weekend everyone27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 55

Hi
I've potted money into both my Sealed pot and my bank account sealed pot, as part of my weekly round down to the nearest £ task.

Afternoon everyone
Not much luck with the bank over my debt. I called in during the week, sat in a private room for what felt like forever and was hoping someone finally got through to their 'debt department' to give me a balance owed. Sadly I was told I would need to book an appointment and come in again to try to sort it out. I decided instead to write to this company to get the info I want, internet searches reveal people having problems communicating with them, I'm actually half expecting a reply saying they can't find my account.
@LittleMissDetermined Thanks for the idea! I did word my letter to ask what is the lowest amount they will accept to finish this debt once and for all - it did sound a bit cheeky but I don't care, It's not like I'm asking my best mate for a hand out
My Plusnet reward card came through yesterday, basically a pre paid Mastercard worth £75, once activated, I decided to spend it at Amazon on some much needed work safety trainers. My feet are usually very sore at the end of the week. The change went on a cheap electric foot roller thing to remove think dead skin & the like... felt quite nice until I saw my toe bleedingI'd love to go to the chiropodist, it's been years since my last visit - no doubt much more expensive nowadays.
Lots of 5ps for my money tin this week - I hate them and can barely pick the damn things up!
@Sue-UU I hope your empty gum is feeling okay now.
Keep up the good work everyone

Afternoon all SPCers! What a weekend, Saturday quite nice, but not a great Sunday..! Have a good week ahead, but beware of washing as it's set to be fairly wet.!For all those not well or low in spirits, take great care and get well soon. Love and best wishes from us all. ❤️I can't see potting not happening, Ant, well.. not unless folk get badly hit by the wicked price rises all around us. None of us have spoken about yet on SPC, but I'd imagine it will become a problem for us all in time.Anyway, it's good to see you saving as much as you can.T & I went into town yesterday, quite an event, but we need to get back in with people, after all we have to do shopping aside from food and we'd not done any since Covid started! 😡 It didn't take too long and we really felt we'd achieved something aside from shopping.A bit like you with using cash more!Have a good week Ant.Brilliant potting, Money_Choices! Keep working hard at it. 🤩Have a good week.Hi James, sorry to hear that, as yet, you've had no joy. Why not ask for an appointment with the manager? Nowt ventured nowt gained. 🤔Like you though I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to receive a lower amount, you never know.Very well done with your Plusnet reward and good luck with some trainers!Brilliant potting LMD!!Have a really good week, Potters, and keep safe and healthy!Sue xxNB folks: The opening date for this year is 27th October 2022

Well, again, it's been a while! Just found my last post, and can report back that a week after I had posted my health update, I got a cancellation at the hospital to have my ECG/ultrasound done and this weekend I have had the 24-hour heart monitor on. Had to return it today, which wasn't a great way to start my 50th birthday, but I've been celebrating all weekend in any case! Just waiting for my next cardiologist appointment which, I believe, will be in-person!! I still haven't had any further issues - the odd flutter but I'm still also menopausal (and the hot flushes have returned with a vengeance) - so I'm still expecting them to say it was a panic attack or something, even though I had nothing to be panicked about and whilst I have had them before, in the distant past, there was nothing to trigger one that I could think of. My ultrasound was apparently normal, the noises my heart was making and the blood flow, were healthy and fine so who knows?
Savings are still going well but I dipped into one account this weekend for some spending money as I was out on Friday with my work wives, although it transpired that they had in fact paid for everything for me between them and I think the only thing I spent was taxi fare to and from townWent present-shopping with DH on Saturday as I had no idea what I wanted anyway, and also bought him his belated birthday gift of a kettle BBQ so we both got something. Had various family and friends calling in on Saturday afternoon and then we went to our favourite Indian restaurant yesterday. Today I saw my mum and sister, had mum back round here for lunch and wander in the garden. I'm back at work tomorrow and back in the office Weds/Thurs this week.
Eb*y sales have been going OK, Plum is still saving into my virtual pot for me and a few Quidco cashback payments have been released. I also opened the Chase account MSE was recommending with the 1.5% interest and transferred one lot of savings into that, then opened a current account alongside it as it offers 1% cashback for a year and roundups. This is the first month I've moved a lump into that account as a spending account, so hopefully I've got my figures correct.
Take care all xxSPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

Well done to James
Congratulations Sue-UU to your DGS and his new fiancee
Well another week has flown by. I spent the tail end of last week with my DD but I wasn't feeling up to scratch and it took all my effort to remain upbeat for her and the baby. He was unwell a couple of weeks ago and now seems to want to feed constantly which is taking it's toll on my DD. BTW he's now nearly 5 months and my DGD is nearly 8 months. They are both so adorableOur dance results have arrived and we once again passed them all with honours, so quite chuffed with ourselves. Next set are in November......
Another £10.92 in my little pot today. Have a great weekSPC 16 - #09 Totals: 2014 - £264.51 2015 - £207.50 2016 - £396.79 2017 - £369.49 2018 - £484.24 2019 - £309.90 2020 -£282.06 2021- £1839.89 2022 -£1627.837
