Well hello Potters  :)  thank you for your birthday wishes Sue, a belated wish to you too.  I spent my birthday in the northern most polar park in Narvik, Norway.  It was absolutely amazing and I have returned refreshed and relaxed.  DH and I have isolated to make sure we haven't picked up anything on our travels and fortunately our tests have been negative.  I am hearing of so many with the virus at the moment but most seem to be mild, thank goodness.  Wishing anyone who is ill a speedy recovery.

A bit of actual money in the pot this week along with my virtual savings.  Take care everyone

Good luck with your scan xx I had an MRI this morning, wish it had been a CT, they’re much more pleasant
Thank you! It wasn't too bad, I hope yours was OK.

As someone who knows only about earring piercings, dinglefoot, couldn't you have taken the ring out for the day and replaced it on arriving home? If so, you could then have potted the cost of the plastic ones. All the best with the scan.
Unfortunately not, otherwise I would have done! I can't take my nose one out or put it back in by myself, it's far too fiddly. Last time I tried I ended up with a very sore nose and I ended up having to go back to the piercer to put the stud back in. He had to repierce it where it had already started to heal over within only a couple of hours and it was so inflamed from my efforts that it ended up being a very painful re-piercing situation. For the sake of £3, I was happy to have it swapped over for a plastic retainer pain-free this time after the hassle I had a few years ago.
I can take out and put in my ear lobe and cartilage earrings, so at least those didn't incur any cost!

The last couple of days have been NSDs. I'm hoping to continue my streak, but I'll keep my eye out for any road kill on my way to and from work the next couple of days. Fingers crossed I'll be able to pop in here to post about some!

A lovely Wednesday, folks, and enjoy your day.
To those who are poorly in any way, get well soon and come back soon! ❤️

Hello again Siju! I'm truly delighted you enjoyed your birthday in such a wonderful place!! Thanks also for my birthday wishes, very kind of you. I'm so pleased you and DH are both virus free.
    Excellent potting!!

Hi D. I'm so thrilled you received the compensation you so rightly deserved! I understand how you feel about the amount, but thank goodness it finally came through!
An excellent idea to pot it, it'll certainly come in extremely useful!!

Hello gonnabedebtfree! I'm so sorry to hear you've all been through a really rough time, but hopefully DH is well again now. It's sad you needed to use money from your pot, but all the very best in potting as much as  possible and as soon as you're able!

Thanks a lot for the answer, dinglefoot, I just had no idea.
Good for you keeping the NSD's up!

Have a great Wednesday, folks. Do your best to keep clear from Covid!

Save as well as you're able, folks, though I quite understand it's not going to be easy for the future, just do your best as any cash you're able to pot will come in handy for whatever you need it for!

    Sue xx

Hi Sue & and all you savers out there.

It's been a while since I visited, too long I know, but truth is, I haven't really been able to save anything the past year or two, mainly due to having my hours cut down at work. I also had to agree to a pay cut to my nightshift rate (they had been paying over the national minimum or something and needed to lower it). So saving anything had to be put on the back burner. It's not all bad though, My working hours have been normal for this year and I did manage to move some money to my savings account.
I was desperately wanting to go on holiday late this year but I suddenly had a change of heart. I worked out that my one final debt (Barclayloan, £25 per week) could actually be paid off at the end of June this year with the holiday savings I have so far. Barclays have actually been pretty good to me, never chasing me or asking for more money. I guess it's because I've never missed a payment over the years. It would be so nice to have that £25 a week back, It could go in a new saving tin! The alternative would be to go on holiday as planned and pay off the debt for another year plus - I don't want to do that so I'm going to go ahead and finish paying the debt.
I also decided to ditch the TV licence which is due next month. Have to double check to see if I really don't need one though. It's seriously been a waste of money. The £160 would definitely mean the end of the debt in June. My nephew said he'll look after the TV for me, if I change my mind, I can get it back.
I have to say it's great to see you still running this thread after all these years Sue, long may you continue :)
Anyway, I think I will click a few pages back and read up on what everyone's been doing.
Back later - soon rather :)

Have a wonderful Weekend, folks, and enjoy the weather.
To those who are poorly in any way, get well soon and come back to SPC! ❤️

Very wise to play it safe where Covid's concerned, LMD, though the 3 recent Omicron variants don't seem to hit vaccinated folk so badly!
Anyway, that's a super amount virtually potted, brilliant work!! 🤩

Have a GREAT WEEKEND, folks. Do your best to keep clear from Covid, though thankfully, it's starting to wain now!

Hello Rancid!!! 😱 My word it's certainly long time no see, great to see you though! You and I must have double posted on Saturday as I certainly would never ignore anyone - not even you!! 😂 I'm fairly sure you're no longer on the list, all those who've not given their Totals in are taken off 2 weeks after the last date of the previous year! Not to worry though as I can willingly pop you back on, it'll be a different number so if you'd swap it for your old one on your signature I'd be really grateful.

You've done immensely well with saving, so well that if you're able then I'd definitely pay off your debt and be free from it!! 🤗 I think all banks appreciate prompt payments and are kind to customers as a result. Very well done you! 😉

Your nephew must be a very kind lad and at least you now have the option of which is best for you to do.
I'm still here because they won't let me leave!! 😂 So you, and they are stuck with me for the time being! 😵‍
I know you let slip your name last time you were here, I think it was James, but not entirely sure, whatever it is, it's wonderful to have you back as you too have been here a loonng time!!
I'll sort your No out and let you know.
See you very soon and take care. Your new No is (078)

Sleep well and have a good Tuesday, folks, and a great week ahead. Keep away from Covid, though thankfully, it's waining now and isn't too bad!
