What enhanced the experience was that there was a little girl sitting behind us ( sounded about 10) who loved it every bit as much as we did but obviously for entirely different reasons. It really works on 2 entirely different levels and the cast are sublime. I totally recommend it. Rupert Everett was brill!
.......kpc, I'm well up for seeing St Trinians, but I need to be sure that I am not wasting my money on a poor production, so I need you to tell me the actual film was good? Obviously I would be there to cast an eye over the quality/vagaries of the plot, to assess its broad public appeal and to see how well Rupert Everitt approached his role and positioned it against the Alistair Sim original. I wouldn't want anyone to misunderstand and think I was just a sad old perv who's only there because Nicola Roberts is dressed as a minxy schoolgirl.0 -
I finally took the plunge and ordered one of these to be delivered. I guess it won't be very MSE and that I'll be disappointed with the content when it arrives, but you have to try everything once don't you? Delivery day is Tuesday - I'm really quite excited
If anyone else is curious as to how much you get for your money, I'd be happy to post a pic when it arrives.0 -

Who did you get it from Ajax? They can vary a lot but we used to get a local one for £5, pretty excellent! Haven't signed up for a new one since we moved, but would like to.
KPC, your night sounds like a right laugh, glad you had a great time! Whereabouts is it, tried looking on the map but couldn't see any arrow! (prob being dense, OH woke me up at 3.30am - not in that way Ajax! - and been up ever since ).The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Hey guys,
Thanks for youre support. I soo cant remember who said they started uni at 21 but in some ways i wish i did! In the first year of my course i bunked off every moment i could to go do "stuff" with my new boyfriend and only came out with a merit overall, then it wasnt untill the 2nd year i grew up and realised i need this for my future, came out with a 50/50 split of distinctions and merits. Ive only had one mark back from an assignment which was rated a 2.1 so hopefully im on an upwards spiral.
Trouble is this january time is ALWAYS low moral/motivation wise. Good luck to those of us who are studying!
I went to my ballroom dancing class on friday night, it was wicked. Had such a laugh! The cha cha cha is a really good workout! was getting all puffed out after doing that for two songs roughly. I rewarded myself with a bottle of authentic coke (in a glass bottle) and a 15p tiny chocolate bar. I worled 9-7 yesterday so i hope that didnt sit anywhere (unless it was my boobs)
Missyg: Glad you got sorted (ish) Sometimes dependant on the shape of youre breasts some bras just wont work. It also depends on the range the shop has, i hate hate hate not being able to find at least one bra that fits someone, but somtimes its just not meant to be! I had some hard ones yesterday, but i think everyone left with something in the end!
Regards to the advice of WW, i might do it with boyfriend and i, now i know that there is a range. Might make me continue with his new lifestyle im trying to lead (although not so on the money front!)
Anyway, im off to do this god damn assignment. Im going to finish it today whatever state it is in. I have some peace and quiet because my parents are out playing bowles and my boyfriend is cleaning the bathroom!!!!!!
i'll be back again when im boredprobably in about 5 minutes

Good luck with it Vix, my OH is suffering the same torture next door and all I can hear are shouts of frustration! The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Thanks Vix - I think I'll go back in about 6 weeks or so, when the sales have died down and the new ranges are perhaps in, and hopefully when I'll have settled into maintaining too. Good luck with your assignment.
Victory - thank you very much for the info you posted. Increasing cal intake slowly is what I plan to do, but slower than that article suggests! I'm not even sure I would know what to do with as much as an extra 250 cal/day!Did you increase by that much when you started maintaining? I'll have a better idea what track I'm on after weigh in tomorrow.
Just a flying visit from me... Eurosport beckons0 -
missyg no I did not and have not increased the calorie intake that much, seems a lot to me, I AM in the middle of decreasing to get rid of the xmas 5lb gain and then I play about with it all, increase some days if I go over then decrease, points wise really with WW I keep very focused and if I go over then the next day is very under to compensate etc, the dread of re-gain does not allow me to eat that much:rotfl: :rotfl:0

Hey everyone!
I hope you are all well this sunny and cold day (my side of town). I would just like to thank everyone that gave me advice for my healthy shop, I did it yesterday and I think it went well.
I did stock up on some of the offers at Wilkinson for Slimfast. BOGOF milkshakes or smoothies..dunno which one it is from 99p each, also the one where you mix it up, I got it from Superdrug, but Wilko is doing it 50p cheaper, BOGOF as well for £4.49
I got some WW soups from Tescos- 5 for £2 and I got fruit, veg, low fat yougets, Ryvita, Chicken breast, Wholemeal bread, Chicken sausages etc etc
So I will see how it goes, seeing as it was my sisters 21st bday party I decide to start eating healthly as from tomorrow....as I still have the food from it...!
So thank you all!!
Also I brought the scales...which said I was 13 st 7lb which was less than i thought, so BB, you will have to rectify it on the chart, sorry! I will weigh again on Wednesday and see how I am doing!

I am sitting here waiting for tuesdays weigh in, I HAVE put everything I have into it, eaten only fruit and WW stuff, the pedometer says I have done around 28,000 steps a day, been to work, walked, drinking hot lemon and hot bovril like it is going out of fashion, not touched one little single mouthful of anything that is not allowed, I am totally focused on tuesday to get rid of the xmas 5lb gain, I mean I WAS the highest gainer by far:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: if there is any justice it will have come off by tuesday:D
I have even had porridge for breakfast and lunch, keep the calories, WW points down and the belly full at the same time, bonus:D
I was reading an article on weight loss (of course!!) it was saying that once goal/maintain/happy weight has been reached all the past should be struck off, old photos should be thrown,(I did throw loads out because I looked hideous and did not want to keep them), clothes out, old habits gone, it says that because from what I can make out that now that the weight has gone the present and the future is all that counts, I told my H about the article and he disagrees because he says surely if you have maybe lost x amount of weight that is a life achievament, something to be proud of, something to look back on and learn from?
The article is trying to say that we must not be in the mentality that it has a chance to return that that was then but this is now and now is what counts, all the new clothes should be bought in the correct size, all the foods should be weight maintaining appropiate, make up and hair should be changed accordingly, your whole attitude should change for the now and forget the past.... I have a pair of black trousers upstairs that keep me focused and motivated if I cannot see the point etc and I kept them for that reason, I must admit I got rid of all my old recipe books and replaced them with WW ones, had a new hair cut and revamped the make up so maybe there is some truth in it, the article says the mind is a powerful thing and has to be re-programmed that we are what we are now not what we were but is it not true that what we were made us what we are today?0
