GPuk - stay on here! and keep posting cos when your hands are busy you can't munch! Keep focussing on your goal, and if you are really struggling, I'm sure someone can dig the boot out of an old thread for you . . . it hasn't been seen for a while.
Victory, don't think I can't see you trying to burn down the shed to get at the stick. You are NOT having it! We're all hoping for you too, but you really have done everything you can to balance yourself back out again, you aren't a failure if you can't shift it in a week, honestly.
Happy New Alphonse!!!! Hope everything is back okay on planet Petrichor. I'm sure you'll be fine. I'm weighing in for the first time in a couple of weeks on tuesday which is a bit scary but I'll have to live. At the moment i think it may be still be a gain as the old jeans are still a bit tight. Still, 2 days to go . . . .
Vix, I hope you really enjoyed that sausage. I know Suggs is enjoying thinking about you enjoying it. (Ajax would too, but right now he is down at the cinema watching st trinians with his special cut out popcorn box so he hasn't seen it.)
Bails, I fully recommend the tagine it is lush. And even though me and OH are greedy pigs it did 2 good meals and theres enough leftover for a lunch. Will let you know later in the week whether it's any cop cold . . .
I've noticed that we all seem to veering from the sublime to the ridiculous lately - we're all either eating like crazy or starving ourselves and sick with guilt. What say this is the week we all get back to an even keel and find some balance?0 -
Katiepoppycat: Im sure everyone is enjoying the thought of me eating that sausage. It means all of those calories are going into me, instead of into all of you.
The things i do for this forum huh!
If i ever say ryanair again, shoot me. You know im so used to word auto correcting ryanair to Ryanair, that i waited for mse to do it too! lord0 -

Lovely to have you back petrichor. Well done for making it through a tough week, by what ever means it took. xx
Ajax - buying an organic veg box can be MSE. If you are in debt, you have to cut back to get rid of it and that would include food costs. If you are not in debt, then you cut back on costs you consider unnecessary so that you can spend your cash on what you do want -be it holidays, the latest telly or to eat very well/ healthily. I've chosen to rent out a room in my home to maximise income/ use of space and this gives me the freedom to spend a bit more for example on a few better quality clothes that make me feel good, rather than masses of cheepy ones, (as well as tuck the rest away for other things) . Fewer clothes but I love them and so wear all of my wardrobe rather than 20% of it. So pretty MSE in the end.
Great to hear you inspired jillie.
Gpuk - what eating plan are you following? Remember not to deprive yourself of treats - this is a long term life style change, not a form of torture. Peeps here snack on fruit, sugar free jelly, low fat yogurts. I'm sure others will come in with ideas. Can you identify the times that are most difficult for you in day, so you can plan ahead for them and pre-empt them with a healthy snack, before you are ravenous?I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Can I join here please...I just searched on 'lose weight' and I found this thread.
I would like to aim at the 5lbs a month..I need to lose about 100 lbs.
Like so many others I have lost and gained hundreds of pounds in the last years. I am 51 years old, nearly 52 and so miserable about my weight.
I am watching something on TV a woman that's 64 stone....I think she needs to be here too...
Is there anything special I need to do to join you all. I will be using calorie counting, I have done all the usual club diets but know where I am with calories.Good Luck All
