Happy new year all :j
Raphael - you are not too late for the Jan challenge chart - could you, and anyone else who has skipped recent pages through lack of time, please read my big post re the chart, half way down page 25. Thanks. This will put you in the picture.
Saw you on the simplify thread last evening bails: I nearly crept up behind you to go "boo" but thought you might think I was stalking you :rotfl:
Ooh delly, I winced at the thought of getting up so early this morning. Just think, by the time he's a teenager you'll be dragging him out of bed at midday.
Well done thrift monster on chucking out the temptables - that's the way to go folks.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hi BB and Happy New Year to all on board!
My unexpected bonus weightloss b4 xmas has stayed off so far so can I start the NY at 15stone 1lb - 7lb down on my original starting weight please?
Mind you - off to my parents this afternoon, then everyone back to me, then sisters tomorrow, followed by neighbours,......
Last night was in laws and two of their neighbours with crisps, nuts and vodka in all directions so it may simply not be showing yet!0 -
Hello again everyone, I've had a few glasses of water and a couple of hours sleep and feeling more human again.
brighton belle - can you please put me down for a maintain as my first official weigh in of the year isn't until next Tuesday. (Unofficially - I've put on 2.5lbs but I can't really rely on my scales.)
As for DS being a teenager - I just can't wait until he needs less supervision and someone to play with so much so I can snooze on the sofa instead of spending all morning sitting in one of these
having pretend dinners and conversations on a play telephone - the joys of motherhood!Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Afternoon lovely peeps:D I am feeling very happy this afternoon, been around the house with a fine tooth comb and if they are not eating it by the end of the day it is being binned so they are eating a lot today:rotfl: :rotfl: I have my satsumas staring at me, all the WW stuff back in the fridge, have made up 4 sugar free jellies, the veg is on for dinner, the WW meals are all in the freezer, the fruit basket is topped high with bananas and apples, there is nothing in any cupboard, fridge, freezer, secret place that should not be there, I am back on hot lemon and hot bovril (crumbs last night my high diabetic numbers make you sweat and H said I was so clammy it was like sleeping next to a toad!!):rotfl:
I am looking forward to getting rid of the high numbers to get a proper nights sleep, I have put a mantra in massive letters on the wall in the kitchen that says 'fat(as in bacon, belly pork, fat in food fat) makes you feel ill, sweets make you feel sick, over eating affects your numbers and won't let you sleep, you get so very thirsty, Don't do it to yourself Vic, think of your liver, be healthy and wise, full of energy not bloated, gassy and ratty:rotfl: :rotfl: . Be good to yourself, you are you and you deserve better:D
All the xmas food was fab but the price I personally pay for it is too high and I have to take my diabetes and rheumatoid arthrtis into more consideration than the just oh to hell with it I like it, I want it I am going to eat it:D
I felt a million times better when I ate all the WW stuff and fresh fruit and veg, hungry at times but energy wise better, no gases, no indigestion, have 3 spots to prove this xmas eating lark is not for me:rotfl:
As for the gain on yesterdays boot scales that is good new also, well at least I hope so because this morning was unexpected (over a week early) TOTM so H and DS have spent all morning telling me that the gain was a gain obviously because crumbs I put some food away last week:rotfl: :rotfl: but maybe not as big as it has come up as because of water retention so will try again in a few days and see if it has automatically lessened and the wieght gain is not as high:D
I watched Paul Mackenna this morning on the tele (his book is 75% off at WHSMITH along with Rosemary Conley, Gillian's etc, have a look, the Rosemary one I like because each recipe has a picture) and he said a sentence that has stayed with me 'tell your food there is a new sherriff in town and you are the boss'
I am the boss of me and my boss says I felt lousy with all the non energy clumpy lumpy stodgy xmas foods and now want to get the gain off and get back to full of energy, plus yesterday I bought a bikini from the Next sale, yes a bikini and am going to wear it this summer:D
Apart from getting rid of all foods, I have been making a list of what we need for the hols in July, hopefully going again for 6 weeks, I get all the t-shirts,3/4 length trousers etc now in the sales put them away, this year I am not going to just hope they will fit I am going to make damn sure they will, I am not into wasting money, H says if they don't we will get me some more but oh no I don't see it that way:rotfl: :rotfl:
Tomorrow I am going back to the sales to get DS some summer clothes and put those away, on Friday I am going to London to see Grease in the theatre, thursday back to work where there is less timeto eat, it is all good, plans, focus, motivation and determination is all keeping me going:D0 -
Happy New Year everyone. May 2008 bring you peace, health and happiness.
I will catch up when I can, probably tomorrow xxx0 -

Hi Victory - I just want to acknowledge how much you have to cope with and why you are so strict with yourself at times. Fingers crossed re the water retention: that would be great news! And every time you get back on track you prove again that you will never put 5 stone back on - you are too strong now to let that happen, although I understand the fears you and other maintainers have around this and it will need constant vigilance.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hello everyone, can I please join in? I have lost 10lbs, gained 2 (I had the flu and doc put me on steroids - I had an appetite like a horse!)and have now managed to lose 1lb - so can I start at loss 9Lb please? I can't afford to go to a slimming club and anyway I have to eat gluten free so am going it alone (not totally alone, my daughter has lost 2st on willpower and walking and is my advisor!). Do you need my start weight and goal weight? Oooh I'm so glad I finally clicked on here, am now going to look at the recipes etc threads for weight loss.
Happy new year everybody - in 2008 I am gonna be slim and solvent!!!!:o0 -

Hi denbo - welcome to our very friendly forum. You are very welcome to tell us your goal weight if you want (it would help give us an idea of what the bigger picture is) but we only need your current weight loss to start you off on the monthly 5lb challenge (presume you've read post 1 that explains it all) Keep posting - lots of laughs and support and info on this forum. A number of peeps here have to cope with medication induced hunger/weight gain so plenty of sympathyI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hi and thanks for the welcome. I'm not really sure what my goal weight is/should be. I'm 5ft and weigh 11st 9 (gasp) and would like to be around 9st ish I think, even getting to 10st would be a miracle to be honest! I'd love to lost 2st more if possible. Does WW still have goal weights? I don't think there's any chance of me getting to 8st something..................................
I'm on amitryptilline and depomedrone injections - both of which help weight gain! ButI wasn't slim before anyway!0 -
Thank you brighton belle you really are lovely:D
denbo hi welcome to the happy bunch of people:rotfl: anything you need we will be only to happy to help with;)
I had a dream about suggs last night (must be because he and Mrs Suggs went to London to see Hairspray and I am going on Friday to see Grease) anyway we were both in London and I saw suggs screamed his name, he turned around, looking most shocked, I said I was victory he introduced me to Mrs Suggs and that is it, I woke up then:rotfl:0
