Well i try and do like 1000, 1500 steps on it, it comes up that ive burnt something ridiculous! maybe mine is dodgy! i will have to get on it again on sunday and see the calorie to step ratio

When I go to the gym and do my 4 minutes walking on the treadmill is says I have used 9 calories! And I wonder why I am fat? Seriously though I haven't gained again and am doing less around the house as I have now got my wrist in a splint. The meds are not going to beat me into being fatter!

Cheers MissyG and Petrichor, and anyone else who has welcomed me and whose message I have missed!

Bought myself a *huge* piggy bank jar today and am putting spare change in it. I'm sure it will take more than a year to fill as it's along the same size as a big whiskey bottle. Still, should be a pleasant surprise to see how much is in it when I do eventually manage to fill the thing!

Best of luck to everyone, just be sure that you are doing this for the right reason - ie for yourself first - and I will post what motivational things I can here, as I am a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner. Please feel free to PM me and I will answer questions when I check my messages!

  • Havent been online much this week and apologies if this is a bit long but....

    What a week!!

As I said on another thread, Monday was a trial! Every Dominoes Pizza in Glasgow was offering free 12 inch pizzas to the police - as many as we wanted eek.gif One of the car crews went in and picked up a dozen for the control room, assorted 12 inch pizzas.... several of them pepperoni - my favourite. After consulting the WW EO Guide, I keep in my locker I decided to push the boat out and have ONE SMALL slice. I cant believe I managed to restrict myself to that. Ive also still not had a single chocolate thats been lying around work smile.gif

So my wi on Xmas Day went well bliss.gif I got LOADS of gorgeous presents, loads of clothes!!! My mum has been picking up things for months she got £200 worth of clothes for under £100 for me! A lot of it she said she thought would be too small but its not eek.gif

Unfortunately from there the day went downhill a bit... my brother called to say he was having to take both my nieces to hospital. Ciara was having problems breathing & Emma had passed out and had been 'floppy' for some 15 mins. Thankfully one quick trip to A&E and they were diagnosed with severe chest infections and sent home. My sister in law wasnt well either so as they were all meant to be coming to my mum & dads there was a bit of a panic. We ended up packing up all the presents AND food and shipping it down to their house & dinner was cooked down there.

The girls LOVED their presents, well Emma did, Ciara was too poorly to be bothered. I lifted her when we arrived & didnt get to put her down til we set off for home some 5 & a half hours later. She just wanted constant cuddles and to be held (actually not a bad idea when youre not well). My sister in law missed dinner & was in bed by 1730. I had to have my dinner cut up for me as I couldnt quite managed it myself while holding Ciara rolleyes.gif Dinner was lovely though and when we finally got home, we opened a bottle of wine, which I think was pretty much deserved lol

I didnt count my points at all on Xmas Day but didnt go mad. Had Bucks Fizz smile.gif & toast for breakfast. 2 rolls & salmon for lunch (a family Xmas tradition lol) and for dinner had salmon mousse followed by turkey, 4 potatoe croquettes & gravy, with mums home made trifle to finish. Had diet coke with dinner and half a bottle of wine in the evening. Hopefully havent done too much damage, but hey I think Im entitled to one day off!!

Was back at work Boxing Day & the 27th, came home last night feeling like c*** and slept all day. Thankfully Ive a few days off so hopefully I can shake this off by Monday.

Hope everyone had a slightly more straightforward time than we did lol

Oh and I got my SS present on the 28th after falling out with the PO... thank you SO much Jules I love it. Ill save the chocs for a special treat ;)

OMG I just haven't stopped eating, and I can tell! I dread to think what the scales are going to say, just hope I can kick myself to start back on the straight and narrow very soon.
bargain basement, I do sw too, I don't know how much the books are on ebay - it may be better to join and get all the books while you are at the class and then maybe go it alone after, I don't know what others may advise, but I only have the main book and the shopping list book that has all the syns listed. i would like the dessert book though!
I will get sorted, i must!
If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.

  • Hi everyone - I'm coming to join you again (sigh - again, again, again). I did go and weigh in at WW on the last meeting before Christmas to try and keep me focused over the hols so I didn't gain 1/2 a stone...... and I am doing Core plan - anyone else out there doing the same?

I'm looking forward to a bit of motivation and keeping my fingers away from crisps, peanuts and wine in the evenings - my big downfall. I have 6 stone and 5lbs to go so this could be a long haul - however went for a swim today for 1/2 hour.
