  • Good Morning Peeps :hello:

Blummin' 'eck!! Is it over already? After all that fuss  Why oh why did I buy all that food???? I have a mountain of the stuff left. Luckily a lot of it is in the freezer, so no problem there; but I have a load of fancy biscuits, panettone etc etc etc and Mr Kipling cakes selections which I bought on offer, so you can all come and visit and eat it all for me, and if you don't and I gain weight then it will be all your fault!!!!:rotfl: ...

...Welcome inkie welcoehithernicetomeetyqd3.gifThis certainly is the place to be for support and help, I couldn't have managed so well without it, and well done on already losing 1.5 stones :j , we have a lot of folk here who do SW with great success. I love walking too, not only for the exercise but also for the relaxation, anything that takes your mind of food/dieting is fine by me :D ...

...Well done grannynise :j How good that some of you still weighed in on Christmas morning:j. Lucky you going to Paris, it's been years and years since I went but I loved the place, and would love to go again while I can still walk, I hope you have a lovely time :D ...

...Beanie I hope you had a lovely Christmas, did you get a Radleigh? I didn't, so Boo remains an only child/dog/handbag :o ...

...Hmmm no pictures to load today, I'm going to have to find something else to do for the next 11 months :rotfl:. I think I'll give facebook a visit later on and clear out all the Christmas clutter...

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
  • hello all! Back at work and have managed to catch the Christmas lurgy bleargh. Had a fab couple of days, lots of books and plenty of Sean Bean action. Oh and plenty of good food - that was supposed to stop today but I'm giving myself another couple of days because i feel rotten and am drinking GALLONS of fruit juice which gets me a big old SW spanking. Still one thing went the LW way - I tried to make Nigella's instant choc mousse and ended up with a separated slimey lump of . . .well, anyway, we didn't go any further with it. And did anyone catch the Doctor on Christmas day? I do like him in a dinner jacket. Poor Richard Hammond is poorly and can't do his radio show today so I'm off to spend the rest of hte day thinking abut ways to console him. take care all

  • Happy Christmas to everyone. It seems as if everyone had a lovely time. Your SS's sounded such good fun.

My best prezzie was a stepper from Argos (didn't break the bank and should get me exercising). It was from my OH but I will admit that I went out and bought it and then presented it to be wrapped and labelled.

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3025893/Trail/searchtext%3ESTEPPER.htm. A thank you to MISSYG for the recommendation on mini steppers, I thought they would all be pretty useless, but this one is good and sturdy and small enough to hide in the cupboard under the stairs.

I was so scared of wrecking my diet on Christmas Day, but I still had Christmas Pud and a mince pie with double cream for pudding and then a piece of chocolate log with fresh cream at tea time. I couldn't believe it the next morning when I weighed myself to find I'd lost 2lbs :j . Maybe I should be eating more :D

It's DS's birthday today, he's a chocoholic and wanted a large chocolate birthday cake - I did oblige, this thing is huge, it totals over 7000 calories (he proudly worked that out), I sent FIL and MIL away with a large chunk, but we still have a fudge cake untouched from Christmas Day, 1/2 chocolate log, some of my B'day cake and a couple of boxes of posh choccie biccies - I am going to need so much will power until either someone else eats them or the Best Before Day comes and goes - wish me luck.

Hi everyone! And welcome to our newest member!

I had a lovely Christmas, and after all the worrying, the food thing was not too bad at all:jI enjoyed my food and didn't think about denying myself anything, just had things if I wanted them. I managed to get myself a couple of pounds buffer before we went to Wales, and I still have 1/2 a pound left at the mo! So, happy with that. OH assures me there won't be lots of temptation in Brighton so got off quite lightly it would seem :T Am shattered, back from Wales now and sitting still for the rest of the evening, off to Brighton early doors tomorrow. Only going for a couple of days then back for my pampering day.
Glad to hear that most peeps have had a lovely festive time, look forward to hearing from the rest of the team! I'm excited about 2008, so many possibilities :T:j:T The only downer about my Christmas was that I walked part of the way on our long walk on Boxing Day (was in a wheelchair for some of the time) but I was too exhausted to walk back, which I was gutted about (ended up crying in the pub :o). I know it was just from the busyness of Christmas though, and was just a 'bad' day, but it has inspired me even more on the road to recovery. Always a silver lining...
Grannynise, have a fab time in Paris. Good to be back! xx
