Feeling bloated and slightly hung over today so will be good foodwise to try to make self feel better. Every cloud has a silver lining......

Hope everyone had a lovely time
  • Well done starlight :j :j and efrieze :j (btw I meant to add a Compliments of the Season to All Our Friends Here Who Don't Celebrate Christmas the other day, but it went out my head when I did the post, so please accept the belated wishes :) ) Christmas Eve was so hectic, my pedometer was over 30,751:rotfl:, I just couldn't seem to get organised, but that's been me to a 'T' of late...

...kpc I'll put the tea-glazed gammon recipe here in the next day or two. It's healthy as far as gammon goes ;) the family really enjoyed it and it's all gone, so nothing left to pick at :j ...

...Bails I was pleased to see that you've started to feel better, let's hope that it continues :j (but I still think that the notebook is far too nice to use ;)) ...

...julesgr I hope that your health picked up for yesterday ...

...I must admit that so far, I've been okay with the food side of things. Lovely dinner yesterday with a few treats throughout the day. Haven't even been tempted to pig out on anything (yet!!). A couple of nice walks have helped but I suppose the scales will be the judge of it all next Monday :o ...

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

I lost 1.5 lb this week, 26lb altogether, but that was the weigh in on Christmas morning so it could be a very different story now.

Well done to all of you who are staying in control of your eating, but eating in a family friendly celebrating kind of way. That must be the answer to long term weight control ..... let me know how to do it please!

Early Friday morning I'm going to Paris with Mr GN, just until Sunday evening. Hopefully the weather will be good and we'll be able to walk everywhere and burn off some of the extra calories. The hotel is #3 on Tripadvisor for Paris, for those of you who use Tripadvisor, so it should be OK.

Have sent the family off for a walk whilst I clear up lunch ... couldn't resist coming on here though to see what everyone else was doing.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Just seen this thread and would like to join in. Doing SW at the moment, and have lost 1 1/2 stone since Sept. Tried damage limitation this Xmas - and so hoping that weigh in this week will not be too disasterous. Need to keep focussed and so would like to join in this challenge. Am aiming to walk 10 miles per week to aid the old weight-loss. Have been on a 6 1/2 mile walk today.

Welcome inkie. You have done really well already and we will all help you keep on the straight and narrow. Do you have much more to lose? Obviously the thread is very quiet at the moment but just wait until next week when everyone is back to normal and you will get loads of support and chit chat on here.
