  • I know what you mean dragon - i love reading about what everyone has got it's so lovely to see how much thought and care has gone in. And don't worry about that whole total loss business - you still got a loss - well done! And think of how much fun you've had on this thread in the meantime.

Thanks Suggs!! The smellies rather took me back as well - that fragrance was very much the thing when i was at high school, and I'd forgotten how nice it was.

Tea glazed gammon sounds absolutely delicious petrichor - would you post the recipe on here? (I'm assuming it's not LW friendly but I could be mistaken). We're having beef stew tonight with ginger and clementines which smelled fantastic when I made it yesterday so hopefully it will be even better today. Got some good news today - OH has juggled things so we don't have to go to his Mum's on Christmas Day - we're going boxing day instead. So bucks fizz for breakfast and a day all to ourselves, how delicious!

Hoping you are all having a fab Christmas Eve - I've been listening to Ed Stewart on Radio 2 and loving all the kiddy Christmas songs. And lets hope all those poorly family members feel better tomorrow! Just realised that tomorrow is my weigh in day . . . . bad timing or what?
  • Well done katyk :j 5lbs crumbs! :j missyg :j and The Dragon :j ...

...Thank you Suggs for the 'A few days enjoying Christmas does NOT
a ruined weightloss make'I hope it's true otherwise I'll have to hold you fully responsible :D ...Must say that I'm a tad disappointed with the final Santa picture :rotfl: :rotfl: but thanks it's been a jolly good laugh  ...

...:xmassmileNow for the most important post of the day, my secret santa :j :j - It is a note book but not just any old note book, it is handmade with a cover in a beautiful red and gold embroidered silky fabric, which as soon as I saw it thought, 'Indian', and indeed it is, because the pages consist of paper called "Khadda", which is made from 100% recycled cotton left over from the massive garment industry of that country. I can't describe it as I should like, so I'll post a picutre of it towards the weekend, I promise. So who do we know here that has a love of India? Of course it's Bails :santa2: Thank you so much Bails, it is lovely but that's such an understatement; I think that it's far too nice to use :D I hope that you have an equally nice present...

...Brighton belle You'll be picking those pesky reindeer up for ages :rotfl: :rotfl: or at least Mr Bb will. I hope that you're feeling a little brighter today...

...Now for our penultimate festive picture, as it's Christmas eve we'd better put our stockings up -
    3dfiresidechristmasscrezs7.gif
The big one on the left is mine and mine alone, the two smaller ones you can share between you :rotfl: . What? Greedy? Me? You bet, this time of year :rotfl: ...

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

I have lost 1.5lb of the 2lb I put on a week or so back so well chuffed, also went shopping today desperate for a white under shirt type thingy as I managed to colour the last one I had blue and there was only a size 8 there out of desperation and a very irritated H I was forced to try it on and it fitted, I am wearing it, I took a photo of the label from Wallis and am walking on air with the excitement of having a size 8 white top in my wardrobe or on me now:j :j :j :D never a size 8 have I ever been and now look:D weight loss and a size 8 and christmas eve and all the prep has been done ready for tomorrow what more could there be?:D

MERRY XMAS EVERYONE AND AS HAS BEEN SAID A DAY OR TWO OFF DOES NOT DO TOO MUCH DAMAGE, ENJOY, FAMILY, FRIENDS, GOOD FOOD AND A DRINK OR TWO IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A 1LB OR 2:D

Can.t wait for my first drink tomorrow:D and to open the pressie and the quality street tin, oh life is grand:D

I haven't opened mine yet as I wasn't sure when we were doing it, depsite my future sis-in-law badgering me to!! I'll go get it in a minute, if she hasn't done it for me :D

Oh, I couldn't wait any longer...it's all wrapped up with a sparkly bow...and inside it's bubble wrap...and there's a dermalogica hand and nail treatment (Dermologica is what they use at my salon, yeah!) and...ha ha, quality, it's a sparkly purple cat windchime! I love it KPC, thankyou SO much, it'll be going up as soon as I get back xx It's Christmas woo hoo! :j Petrichor, I'm so glad you liked the journal; the cover is made from saris too. I hope you do find a use for it x

As you can see, I got over my nightmare about it all and am enjoying myself and relaxing out. Thanks for all your support, I was going through it at the time. (Just haven't had chance to get on here til now, been busy busy).

Sorry to hear about unwell families, hope they get better soon, and you too Suggs. BB, I'm so sorry to hear things aren't getting any better, I do hope you can find some food to enjoy and stop the rapid weightloss. If you're up to it, I'll bring you a delicous, nutritous smoothie after Christmas. Take care of you xx

We're off to church soonish so I'm hopping in the bath now - I'm not religious but love singing the carols, then into the pub next door for some drinkies - my brother always walks up to the church door then straight past and into the pub :rotfl: Everyone's here now, there's 9 of us and the tree is being swallowed up by all the pressies! I love having everyone together :D

I wish you all a wonderful and happy Christmas Eve and Day; hope you get whatever you would like, and most importantly, have a fantastic time with your families. Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Bails, so glad you like your gift and it's lovely to have you happy again - I can 'hear' you smiling in your last post.

WOW Victory!!!!!! Go you!!!!!! Right, thats it from me, the parentals are coming over for a Christmas eve visit soon so must head off to tidy up. I did half an hour on my dance mat earlier and it did really get my heart rate going. But not as much as watching the Sharpe box set that we got ourselves with my valued opinions points as a Christmas treat. I do like a bit of Napoleonic rough, don't you? Have a great day everyone!!!!! See you soonxx

Have a lovely Christmas everyone! Have officially started eating the Christmas food now. May burst by Boxing Day evening but it'll be fun.

I wonder who can gain the most by Thursday? I reckon I can put on 5-7lb without really trying. Lunch in a restuarant just with Mr Granny and the incredibly irritating brother in law:eek: , I'll have to drink to dull the pain.

Then the afternoon and evening with him  ..... is there enough drink in the house I'm now wondering.

Boxing day is my DD, DGD and son in law, and obviously I have to out do HIS mother in the food stakes so there might be rather a lot to eat. Competitive -- perish the thought.
  • We just got all the Christmas munchies out... There's more chocolate in this one damn room than I've had all term at uni!! This is my mums version of not "over-doing" it... Oh well.

    Keep smiling everyone :)

I have downsized the xmas box pixiedust:D the amount in the living room is making me nervy so I have put some away for NY/Easter/Valentine's day:rotfl: :rotfl: half term holidays etc yes we really have that much:rotfl: :rotfl:

I am buzzing again, went to Waitrose as I do every xmas eve to stalk the man with the reduced gun, DS spotted a ready in the bag, fully stuffed, just throw in oven turkey crown serves 12, yes there is only 4 of us but serves 12:D it was priced £45.56:eek: and so we played the waiting game, 10 mins before 6 when they closed the waiting paid off literally, I paid £8.80 for it in the end and could not get home quick enough, rang everyone I know to let them know:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: who says you can't get a xmas turkey on xmas eve(my brother!!) who says waiting does not pay off?;) Never pay full price for anything Victory that is me:D

Still got my size 8 white top on, spoke to my mother today and just had to let that slip also, she just said 'oh nice' but not even her can burst my bubble:D

    MERRY XMAS EVERYONE

gammon is cooked, only a few more hours and a legal doctors allowed drink is coming my way, yeh:D

    Love the pic suggs
