Well, evening meal tonight was pizza and chips from the dodgy pizza shop, and I'm not sorry (but I will be in the morning)

Didn't get time to eat since early morning - around about teatime I had to take MrsA to the doctor who immediately sent her to A&E as she couldn't breathe. It turns out with not being able to move her plastered leg, she got a Deep Vein Thrombosis clot which has now moved up to her lung, and she's now being treated for a pulmonary ambulism. That's as well as I understand it anyway. She'll be having daily injections in her stomach to thin her blood out for the time being and also on tablets for the next six months or so!!!!! She may even have to have her operation postponed, the one to take one of the pins out of her leg.

So having not eaten from 10am-10pm, I made very short work of a massive pizza and chips. Also, after a day like that, a bottle of wine is a must. I don't think I'll be losing this week folks :(

Oh wow Ajax! I hope Mrs A will recover soon, what a horrible thing to have happened _pale_

My compensation cheque from my car accident came through today!! My nearest HSBC is in town, so I thought I would be a healthly MSE and walk the 3 miles there and back. Felt really good about it. It was a nice day at my end too. I also closed down my HSBC Cash ISA while I was at the bank, I got a telling-off letter from HMRC for having two Cash ISA's. Whoops, I didn't know that was bad.

Thing is though, after my long walk, I then came home and had a couple of big handfuls of dry-roasted peanuts. They made be full of good-fats, but not that good when you're opting for a calorie-controlled diet.

Sorry to hear about Mrs A. x

How do you post a graph? I've managed to put my figures on to a graph but copy and paste doesn't work.

    FFM :)

You need to download a tool that will take a 'snapshot' the graph, I use MWSnap which is quite safe to download. I use the snap any area button, which takes you to the chart or whatever you have on your desktop, click on the top left hand corner of the area that you want to copy and drag down to the right hand corner, click again (if your graph is in excel I think you can just highlight and copy the required cells, you'll have to experiment as I don't have excel). It will take you back to snapfish, Save the image as a gif. You then have to upload this to an on line image hoster such as imageshack, tinypic , photobucket etc. (At the moment I'm using imageshack) Once you upload your pic, highlight the Direct link to image thread, copy and paste into the insert image box, click ok and it should load into the reply box.

I think :o that covers it. I wasn't sure how much you know about loading up pics so I've perhaps put in too much. Sorry, but it may help someone else. If I've got something wrong I'm sure someone will soon leap to your aid ;)

Hi Ajax What dreadful news re MrsA, it could have been fatal as it was to one of my relatives. I wish her (and you) the best huggz9.gif.....To take your mind off it slightly, I would like to know just what you did buy Bailey for Christmas, and whether or not he recieved a card back from Rocky? :D

    Hi all,

ajax my best wishes to mrs a for a speedy recovery.

I'm on the RC fat attack fortnight 1200 calories though I never feel hungrythis should give my new year weght loss a good boost then i'll go on to around 1700 cals which will be a full 100 cals a day less than i was on before (lower weight lower BMR- less food lol). I was discussing BMR with a friend earlier and I had to work hard to remind her that BMR was maintainence of weight with no exercise included so with all the activity I have going on at the moment I'm hoping for even more success.

FFM I did this today, it may not be the best answer though, did it using Microsoft Excel.

Export or save the chart into a webpage
Open the chart in Internet Explorer or Firefox etc
right click on the chart and choose the save as an image or copy image - that will save the chart as a 'gif' file onto your computer.

Then as per Petrichor mentions, "You then have to upload this to an on line image hoster such as imageshack, tinypic , photobucket etc. (At the moment I'm using imageshack) Once you upload your pic, highlight the Direct link to image thread, copy and paste into the insert image box, click ok and it should load into the reply box.
    "

Hope this helps, sorry, Im at mums so not using my laptop, (meant to be looking at smoothie recipes for her) will write it up later properly

Wow! Thanks for that - it's a bit convoluted, I think I'll just let everyone imagine a line going from top left to bottom right. Mostly in a straight line, occasionally plateauing for a week, with a small blip at the end that has now gone down.

:rotfl: :rotfl: Actually I thought that at first, but once you've done it, it's quite straightforward. I too struggled with MWsnap at first, so downloaded a 30 day free trial of Snag it which gives you 'little bubbles of help' along the way, and once I'd used that I realised what I was doing wrong (don't have a technical bone in my body :o ).

My money is on some sooper dooper techie peep here coming along with a bleeping easy way to do it :rotfl: for which I await :D

  • Well I tried to catch up with all Ive missed but its impossible - you lot talk too much ;)

I havent been posting as Ive been away a lot. Was at my parents for New Year then last Friday went to Newcastle for a weekend with people from another weight loss forum I use. Got back on Sunday evening, and Monday morning I was off again to Edinburgh for a few days.

As you can imagine my pointing has been out the window!! I tried my best to be sensible in between 'dos' and counted any day I wasnt socialising.

This past 10 days is the first spell in a whole year I havent counted my points & I was starting to get anxious.

My wi is a Monday but I was at my parents today (where my scales live) so decided to get it over & done with and weigh myself. I was all geared up for a 3 or 4lb gain, but totally ok with that.

To my total shock - Ive stayed the same!!!! I cant believe it, but Im totally delighted.

My adventures are now over and as of tomorrow morning its back to counting with a vengance.

Hope everyone else is doing ok

My professional photos have finally come through, oh the make up they put on me, the red lipstick , the paste it on her face foundation:eek: all in all there are three, I like my eyes on one, the smile on the other and the pose of the last one so put them all together and we have a perfect picture:D

I have been reading an article (oh not not again, stop her from reading:rotfl: :rotfl: ) about how we ourselves train our brain to the negatives that we are not born like it, it likens it to when we were teenagers and did something we did not want to do or didn't like etc because we were trying to impress a boyfriend, like liking his fav band or going on his motorbike or watching play football, we did it and had two choices either continue to hate it or open up and go with the flow. Basically youth made us take more risks and be more open and no harm came to us. I agree, I have done things like that and now not so much, well it suggest to do one thing a week if you can handle no more that takes you out of your comfort zone, one thing that could potentially make you happy if only you gave it a chance, one thing that you have long ago decided 'it just isn't me' well it can be, if you let it the article says, no one stands in your way, just you.

I bought a while ago a pink cowel neck long dress from Next, long but according to me not long enough and I could not wear it, why? At my age who is going to tell me not to wear it? Just me and my negatives and me saying so I wore it, nothing happened to me, I felt self conscious, uncomfortable and did not want to do it at first but did and life went on:D

THe article is right, try one thing, liberate yourself, life gets better if you have more options than cocoon yourself within your self imposed rules/habits/visions the article says, yes it is hard, we all know that but we also know life is short.:D
