Ajax, was ROFLing about the book, especially the 3rd review; I would have DIED! The question is, how are you going to get GN reinstated now?

........I've already written an email to the board of governers pointing out that she shouldn't be sacked for this as its nowhere near as bad as a lot of the stuff she looks at.:D

    Afternoon peeps!

I didn't eat much yesterday (889 cals), got a few little issues which are causing me some worry at the moment and my appetite isn't great. I'll do better today. I've not attempted to exercise as I know I haven't the fuel for it! Nothing anyone needs to be concerned about by the way :)

Gpuk - hope the gym goes well, let us know how you get on.

KPC - thank you for your kind words. Glad to hear the dance mat is working out well! As well as cancelling out a snack or two, don't forget the other health benefits of exercising! You're doing your heart a favour, improving the health of your muscles, bones and joints and improving your overall fitness and wellbeing! I have to confess I don't always enjoy exercise, sometimes it feels a struggle but I am usually OK after the first five minutes when I get going. The health benefits really do motivate me.

Vix - haha yeah, loss of fullness just a fact of life I guess and the weight loss has probably played a part, not to mention 15 months of breastfeeding, and sports bras while they are excellent, probably can only help so much for an active person! (Did anyone see that Katie Holmes ran the New York Marathon braless?!) Anyway, hoping for a minus number from you soon to help relieve BB's boredom there - but staying the same IS still an achievement!

Pixiedust - I hear ya about the weather and dark nights. MUCH easier and more pleasant to exercise more in the summer months. I haven't been to the ski slope for weeks (which is actually quite MSE as it's cheaper in the summer anyway).

Ronaldo, you've just reminded me i LOVE cashews! Haha!

Serendisglair, I've had plenty of weeks of losing 0.25, 0.5 or 0.75lbs and to me 1lb is a BIG success! I love that on here ANY loss is congratulated, I've found that so helpful because in real life I've actually had comments like "aw!" when I report "only" a 1lb loss, as if that's a failure.

I prefer the term "slim" instead of "thin". I don't want to be all skin and bone. My body has definitely slimmed down faster than it's taken my mind to catch up, I am really trying to see myself as a slim person but in a way I feel like I'm faking it - I know that sounds weird. Once I have maintained over a period of time, I'm sure I'll get used to it. Seems like Suggs feels the same. Someone mentioned my weight loss yesterday and I said "perhaps I'll need a size 8 soon" and then on the way home I realised all the latest clothes I've bought ARE a size 8! I know I've got a lot on my mind at the moment, but how could I just forget that! :rotfl:

Suggs, well done on 3lb off! The Friday experiment is working! Hope it's good news at the hospy.

Must dash or I'll have a seriously overcooked baked potato! I'll try to come back later xxx

Missyg: katie holmes=moron! When i do my little personal aerobics/dance/run session in my living room i do think of putting my sports bra on. Its a fab little bra that gives me an excellent cleavage! It shouldnt though, but a cleavage is rare so i'll take it whenever it comes :p

Sadly im not as good as you are, my calorie intake will be over a thousand still, but mainly due to being at home alot revising and eating out of boredom.

I felt a bit :( this morning, i havent been shopping in ages so i went on asos.com and bought a dress, a corset top thing and that top i linked to the other day. I say i bought it, but the wonderful matthew bought it for me. So im happy, but i keep going on asos to look at what i bought cos im excited, but i cant see the clothes yet. Nightmare! I'll probably have to take one back because the bust size for a 12 according to them is a 36, but im more like a 34 so i got a size 10 top. It should be ok i hope!

well done suggs:j :j :j yes it is def ladyflu:D

seren I agree with bails IT IS an incredibly hard thing to do, I do 'talk to myself' as it were before I grab something, I think that is a really good thing to do, think before you eat, boredom eating was me to a tee, not for hunger just boredom, now I can see it coming and act, go for a bath, do my nails, ring someone up, go into town, whatever it takes before I used to just not think and rush off to the kitchen, it is a lot better now, the guilt has not ceased as I would like but the thinking is a lot better:D

What I battle against myself now still is the greediness of it, instead of changing my thinking as bails says that nothing is off the list and I can have it, when I do allow myself rarely to get it I go way over the top with it and have 4 times what I need because it is there, I need to change that.

I have spent ages in Sainsburys today wrestling with my concience crisis over the channel 4 show chicken run that has been on every night this week, buy free range they say, so off I go and there is an extra large one for £5.12 and a corn fed free range one for the same price but a little baby one by the looks of it:rotfl: I ended up buying both the corn fed we are having tonight and the other large one another time to compare, I mean I know I should care about the chickens but the price makes me not:rolleyes:

I am having a nice dinner this evening because I can feel this ladyflu making me stay in bed this weekend, so food in first and rest after:D

missyg size 8 I wish!!, Envy coming your way or maybe not I bought a pair of smart casual white shorts today from River Island and they had a mark on so from £26.99 she marked them down to £5, they are a size 10, no , have not tried them on but one day!!

My 889 cals isn't good Vix, it's too low, I posted that as a bad thing not an achievement. Recommended daily minimum for a female diet or not is 1200 (I know some kick start diets allow 1000 cals/day for a short time but I think only if you're above a certain weight to begin with?).

I have the same approach to exercise; I talk seriously to myself before doing any and often manage to talk myself right out of it.

I was very pleased to be able to buy a pair of jeans in the BHS sale --- £12.50 and size 16! Ok it's twice a missyg, but it all depends what your starting point is.

    Hi everyone, welcome to ronaldo!:D

Ajax words fail me!.........but i couldn't help looking at some of the other titles on offer as well!! The reviews are definatly the funniest thing i have read in ages!!

The gym went well today i was excited but when i got there i felt really nervous!! But i just went and got on with it, took my mp3 player and had a go on the treadmill, cross trainer and rowing machine, took it fairly easy as i didn't want to do any damage (it's been 3 years since i was last in a gym)!
Then after i did some swimming ...... and then used the jacuzzi and steam room....that was my reward!!

I can only go twice a week due to childcare issues but something is better than nothing and it's only £27 a month and NO joining fee so kind of MSE??

missyg hope your worries go soon! (hug)
    Goal weight....lighter than when I started :D

Bails: Im sorry! I am half trying to lose weight, i do a little bit of exercise each day, but i just havent got the time with exams coming up to do anything but sit on my backside for most of the day :( at least ive not gained right!!? :p
I think you meant to direct this at me not bails, vix. Awh, I was only teasing huneybun, in reply to your tease about me 'must be getting fed up with your lack of weight loss'. Of course you are doing great not to gain any. I'm really glad you are sticking around even though you are strugglin to lose. You are quite right, you have a lot on your plate at the mo. It'll happen in time, when you are ready and able to focus a bit more. xx
But missyg is right - she def posted the 850cals as way to little (and well done missyg on therefore not exercising -impressed). 1000 cals is way too low vix, so don't aim for that, your body will go into shut down and you will not lose and then you will beat yourself up for not achieving the unachieveable.
Granny - fantastic news re the size 16 jeans! What a result. I confess I have no abmition or desire to be size 8: I am thrilled to be a curvy size 14 rather than 18/20 and feel slim and enjoy my new figure. Guess I'm really lucky to feel that.
Suggs - the Fri w.i. is suiting you well: well done for working this out and changing. Congrates on the 3lb loss. Hope you feel better soon victory - you are right -I feel the same about colds - feel I already have my quotas of illness to cope with.
Bails - some really sound advice re the thinking why you are eat whatever, but not combining that with negative thoughts about self -just observing. Very interested seren in your analysis of your lunch. If it helps, do feel free to post more of that over the next week or so.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Theres too many B's! ha sorry BB. I know you were joking, im just trying to justify why im a lard !!!! :p Mainly to myself.

I also get you now missyg, but isnt the level of calorie determined by original weight? surely someone weighing 50 stone doesnt have to eat that minimum, but a size 10 person would?

Victory: fab! I dont think shorts - size 10 - vicki will ever go together! Thats vicki as in me, incase you are a vicki also :p Id love to wear shorts that everyone is wearing, infact, id love to go into river island and wear most of their stuff! I can obviously, but some things are a no no.
