hi everyone thanks for the kind thoughts. The police haven't caught anyone yet, but we are starting to settle into a bit more normality, although every morning, instead of food!, the break-in is the first thing on my mind.
They took lots of bits of stuff, (inc. the monitor) but dropped something outside and Police think they ran off in case they were heard, it could have been a lot worse, everything was placed in the middle of the room, ready to take!
food wise, not doing too bad as not really interested in food (pretty amazing for me!) but I have had chocolate!
Well done to all the losers and maintainers and thanks for the avatar help (never knew you could see them all)
thanks again, catch you all soon xIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -

Good comeback Granny! Actually, rude songs are a pretty key part of history - i should imagine there's a gem of a phd thesis in that somewhere. I bought the below for OH for valentines day last year ( oh the romance) and as well as being funny, they are actually quite interesting from a historical perspective too. I do have a tendency to sing the wrong words to things now though. And the next time someone frowns at you for singing rude songs you can say it's a cultural and educational thing.
V impressed beanie - I NEVER have the willpower to bin things! Go you! Glad to see you not letting the breakin get to you BB too.
Missy, your post was very interesting. I have been planning to PM you for ages to tell you how impressed I am at how you've learned to let go and enjoy your weight loss and your exercise without obsessing over it. It's very inspirational. I just wish i could enjoy exercise the way you do, although the dance mat is going quite well - i think the incentive of the syn counted lindor afterwards helps, although it probably cancels out the exercise!

...Beanie How brilliant of you :T I would love to dump all the stuff that is still here, but I fear the lynching that would ensue ...

I know how it feels to be broken into, it isnt nice at all. When i was a child it happend to us, they took my brothers 21st jewelery so i would have been about 8 or 9 then. The trouble is, it didnt affect me untill my teens. I suffered with that thing where youre scared of being indoors, every time i would hear a noise i thought some one was trying to get in the house, i would put every light on in the house to show i was in. Took me years to get over it. The man who broke in also took one of our large knives upstairs with him, so thankfully my brother didnt come home that lunch time else it could have been alot worse. Hope they didnt manage to take any of youre valuables or expensive things, but i know its the feeling that a strangers been in thats the worst bit. Hugs coming your way :grouphug:
Missyg: yea sounds itha. But hey, it affects us all right?

Well, very un-MSE of me but Ive just ditched what was left of Christmas goodies in the wheelie bin which gets picked up tomorrow.
Best place for them as I seem to have zero will power at the mo,sorry to say.
Katiepc, the choc may cancel out the cals, I don't know, but the exercisestill means you are getting a bit fitter and speeding up your metab which is good. And the more muscle you build, the faster you burn off cal over all so very worth doing.
vixie - as per your post yesterday, yes, am getting VERY bored with putting 0.00 in you 'weight lost' column. So for my sake, could you please get your act together! It's not easy being the chart keeper you know, zero, zerozero, zero, plus 2, zero. A girl needs the excitement of minus numers in her life...
jenpoptab &perfect 10 - could you let me know your curent total weight lost for the chart next week
Petrichor- haven't spoken for a while, so loving having you back
. Glad things have picked up a little for you.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

OK, I really do apologise for this. I didn't want to post it, haven't done for months (first found it years ago), but after kpc posted an Amazon link the temptation got too much. To me this is the funniest book title ever. To a lot of people I guess it's no more funny than a Haynes manual, and just as practical. I apologise unreservedly to those who are just about to excommunicate me, but, ladies and gentlemen, I give you......
