Well done Calling.
NSD#9
Had my appointment with the dental surgeon, he couldn't see anything on the x-ray to suggest what's causing the problem. Have to go back breakfast time tomorrow. Was going to phone work to say I was just leaving the hospital & noticed a missed call from my mum. When I phoned her, DS2 answered & said he'd been sick twice before going into college, so I picked him up & took a detour to drop him home again. Headteacher ok with me being half an hour late, phew! Felt quite drained this afternoon, so went to bed for an hour when I got home. Did some sewing after tea & had programmes I'd recorded on in the background.
Grateful for managing to eat my tea, chilli & rice (getting fed up with either liquid meals - soup - or struggling to force food through the gap), a good nap, another NSDUse it up, wear it out

Slap bang there goes another tyre. And yes I know I was driving on it flat. But what is wrong w my car, it just eats tyres like a mad dog. Cancelled visit to ds1 yesterday and am not going till tomorrow afternoon, so don't need to drive anywhere. Not sure if I will take Neighbours offer of bringing tyre to garage or try to pump up car and drive. I guess I can pump it up this afternoon and see how long it lasts!
Sorry to share car trouble. I just need my car for an other 7 weeks, and after that it will be the leisure mobile. Can't wait.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Well am now caught up w freelance work. Need to check on my paye work. Managed to get £2 more a day for cover teaching - think I ended up annoying the bloke! But I'm a bit fed up with under inflation pay adjustments.
But first it's time for some outside :-)Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Hugs for those in need of them.
Sorry I have not posted this month. Struggling with work and health. Have printed off 2 self help workbooks for my mh, which I started on one of them. Been trying my best regarding spending. Had to get someone in to deal with the blocked toilet 3 weeks ago, came home to find it had overflowed onto the floor. Has now been dealt with and he sorted out a few other bits regarding the toilet. Luckily it happened on a Sunday and I did not have to take a day off work. Am on 19 NSDs so far. Trying to keep on top of the housework. Closed down an account so that I will not be tempted to spend more than what I should on the lotto - I know that you can limit the spends but it has helped me in closing it down.
Grateful for:
Using a voucher to get a few treats in my favourite shop after work.
Having a book to read on the bus to and from work.
Slightly better day in work.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20135 -
Staying on NSD 12.Tickets for a local community fireworks display went on sale so I rushed to get them before they sold out. DS is more aware of seasonal activities this year so we’re enjoying giving him new experiences and watching his excitement.Since I spent anyway, I also bought milk which could have waited until tomorrow but that would have stolen another NSD from me.Work was fine again today. Nothing much to report there. A good thing. I like days when I can just get on with my job. No problems. No drama.I took two short walks today - one at lunchtime and another to get milk this evening. Maybe a couple of miles in total. Listened to a good amount of my audiobook Thursday Murder Club - it’s still making me laugh out loud. I love the boldness of the characters.I’m planning on having an early night. As soon as I finish this cup of tea, I’m heading up to bed.Grateful for getting tickets for the fireworks display, walks during today’s dry spells, and very delicious mushroom soup for lunch.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6

Spent today. Met friend for lunch (her treat) but bought a book, 2 CDs, some plastic wine glasses and a skirt for work all in charity shops. Spent £11.50 in total. Also did a small shop in Arsda for soup ingredients etc. Filled up with petrol as warning light was on, cost over £52! Never paid that much before.
Gratitudes - friendship, some nice bargains in the CS, early night with TV
