Right so managed a NSD on Saturday, broke the magic to get milk and a few bits yesterday, tuesday, weds, thu will be NSD down to the fact that the coffers are slumped in a corner.
I have managed to magic up £21 so I can go and meet up with a friend, and it is my holiday week, so I have decided that is ok. And I have £3 change for swimming tomorrow. I am not counting that as a spend as it is preplanned, but I will bicycle over for a change. Although next urgent investment is new bike lights.
I have another £10 scraped away in my vaults so I can get a bit more petrol if I need it. I don't like running this low. But I am working on some freelance work I need to put in another 6-8 hours and then I can invoice for £500. So there is light at the end of the tunnel.
    Happy Monday Turtles.

Here I am thinking about my pennies, not very nice really. @f0xh0les - hope you and your family all make it through the self isolation and illness tunnel in one - or af few pieces, and as a teacher I would want to keep your son at home, even if it is not by the strict rules. When my son was ill we had a marquee and ate together outside, as I was not going into work anyways as was before teaching started. Just an idea. Depending on what the weather is like at yours. Here I am looking at a sunny morning.

I was in a school on Friday where they had one year group coming out from an assembly and an other year group coming in. No masks, no distance just one big mele - I actually got a bit scared. I know a lot of vaccinated people getting ill at the moment and it would have consequences for a lot of people around my son if I get ill now.
But fingers crossed, all negative tests so far. Can you at least get your son a pcr test before sending him in?
Hope you all get well soon.

    Deni- belated happy birthday!
f0xh0les- the sch thing is tricky as each sch seems to have a diff policy. I think that they might class it as unauthorized bec govt guidelines are such that as under 16 he obvs can't pass it on...

    Happy Monday Turtles.

f0xholes - sorry to hear. Hope you and your family are alright.

Quiet weekend, no grandkids as other grandparents both tested positive for Covid and they live with them in the week. DD1 and her other half both negative.

So made use of my time, went and bought a corner couch and it  arrives on Thursday.  Much better than larger firms where they are nearly 3 times the price and take at least 4 mths to arrive.  21 years since I bought the last couches so think it was time for change. 3 seater one is looking sad no matter how many throws it has over it.  Only been looking for well over a year.  Found in shop ex display bedside cabinet which matched furniture in my spare bedroom so snatched that as well.

Had a lovely day Saturday popped around a few shops and treated my house to few accessories.

Sunday  wet day, stock take and clear out of food cupboards, made a stew, cooked a ham. Went for a wet walk with a brolly around NT garden it was so nice to see all the autumn colours. A cream tea attacked me but it was gorgeous.

Starting to think about the job I went for interview for. The drawbacks longer hours than I work now and hate the thought of being in isolation in office by myself. I am here but can always pop into one boss or another bosses office for a natter. I would ideally like to work just 3/4 days a week, life is short and I want some time to enjoy it. Can't afford to retire however.

Not spending on food rest of the month, after looking in my cupboards.

    Grateful for
    £10 in surveys today
Sunshine, warm  and promenade walk lunchtime.
Blueberries - suddenly decided I love them. Watch I could become Veruca Salt ;-)
