glad all over but seems unfair bulb uses keep existing prices whilst all other users of bankrupt firms have seen large hikes
Bulb didn't have the low price fixed tariffs of the other failed suppliers, their customers were already on a variable tariff close to the cap before they failed...

Hey guys, so just checked my balances (which i never knew was there before) And it says on the 25th September - "SOLR balance transfer" My 3 payments Sept - Nov have gone in giving me. a large credit. My DD has not yet been transferred.

So a few questions, if you don't mind:

    • So, whom is SOLR? (Excuse my ignorance, is that Avro?).
    • My balance on Avro was £88 - No sign of this, will this be added when my DD is transfered?
    • I assume i will have the last 3 months to pay in once my balance was DD is transferred?
    • Anything i should do now, or just sit tight?

    Thanks for any help.

Are you looking on your Octopus Dashboard at the "View my balance history" link?
Is your final Avro bill on the normal Avro website or here https://assets.avroenergy.co.uk/Default.aspx that would show how they arrived at a £205 balance.
SOLR are Octopus who is the supplier of last resort hence the SOLR.
That £205 will probably include the £88 and any direct debit payments made to Avro although that £88 may well have been swallowed by whatever you owed Avro from your last Avro bill up to the 26th September when it all went BOOM!
It sounds like you have left your Avro direct debit in place and not cancelled it and created a new Octopus direct debit on your Octopus Dashboard?
Have you got any Octopus statement listed on your Dashboard?

Just received an email from Octopus telling me my switch from Avro is underway as well as the tariffs I will be on.
Interesting, I take it you were in mid switch to Avro when they ceased trading? I too should be hearing something soon then.
I'm in that boat as well and have also receive that email.  Which I guess is progress.  However I am no closer to getting a final bill from the supplier from whom I was in mid-switch to Avro from (Outfox), and no closer to getting them to refund the majority of the £456 credit in my account.  They (Outfox) simply don't  respond to emails, I guess I'll have to take the pain of actually trying to talk to them on the 'phone and then get at least try the Ofgem route.

Hey, Yes it's on my "View my balance History" Page

Just checked and my Final Avro Bill was £205 - Debit (This must have appeared today) - This was the only one on the Octopus site

I have not cancelled my Avro DD and i have NOT set up a new DD one with Octopus, as suggested a few times in this thread.

So confused as to what to do now. I guess the final bill has been transferred over, so should i cancel the DD with Avro?
  • I to was with Outfox,  I phoned them when I saw their final bill. They told me that they will put any credit back to my bank account.

I got things sorted with Outfox via live chat, be prepared for some wait before you get through though.

If you don't mind me asking when did you initiate the switch from Outfox to AVRO, and how long did the latter take to issue your final bill?

You should make sure your DD is cancelled well before it is due to go out again..
Octopus say they are close to being able to transfer the DD from Avro, but given you have had your final bill from Avro I would not risk another payment going to them.

See the latest debit advice from Octopus here https://octopus.energy/avro/ from what you said your direct debits are already appearing in your Octopus account so I wouldn't change anything.
In your situation I would sit tight until Octopus produce their first statement for your usage from 26th September onwards which will obviously reduce your current balance significantly. Once that's happened you will be on a level playing field and can then decide what action you need to take. Make sure you enter meter readings via your Octopus dashboard on your preferred day each month and each time you do that it will create a new Octopus statement.
