Funny isn't it  the majority of complaints I have seen are all for octopus to gain..
Most I've seen are about over estimates by Avro...

People are getting contact saying nothing they can do they can't change avro bills well who can because we shouldn't have to pay them for electric they haven't supplied
Are you getting these answers from the avro@octopus.energy contact point?
If so then your only real options are to complain direct to the administrators of Avro, or open a compliant with Octopus...

All my contact has been from  just Octopus energy
If you are emailing hello@octopus.energy then you are talking to the general CS team, the avro@octopus.energy address was set up to route Avro specific queries to a team focusing on those, not sure if it would be any more help, but forth a shot if you are not getting anywhere.

. . . I was under billed by avro my final reading was submitted to octopus as I couldn't get onto Avro's site . . .
I think the issue may depend on when and how you submitted your closing Avro
I too was unable to submit readings to Avro's regular site but Octopus provided a link in an email to submit them to an Avro/assets site and those readings were used to close my Avro account.

. . . I e mailed  and was told to supply the readings to the person I contacted and he entered the readings . . .
If you sent your closing Avro readings to Octopus by email then I would suggest you forward a copy of that email, as an attachment, back to Octopus and ask them to resolve the matter. I would hope they could offer some compensation as a matter of goodwill.

I doubt Ofgem will be bothered to challenge the merit of Octopus's claim that much, at the end of the day they will just pass it on to us and there's nothing we can do about it.

I  put a reading in from the 23/9 but the reading should have being on the 26/9 which was 14 units more so I only paid Octopus about 80p more than if I given a reading on the 26/9 which I ain't that bothered about.

Just had my first deductions from Octopus, no bill but can see balance has dropped and can see what the cost was by looking at balance history.

The bill will usually follow a day or so later unless billing is on hold for any reason.

I've only had one bill from Octopus using their rates and that reduced my credit by £95 I've still got over £150 credit and I will be giving them another reading on the 31st December and expect the bill to be about £46. I'm doing their winter gas thing so I input meter readings for electric and gas every week.

Just read the number of units used for electric and gas then do the conversions to get the kWh's. Smart meters electric is in kWh so just the gas needs converting to kWh that will give the charges for electric and gas, then just multiply the number of days standing charges by the number of days usage for each utility and add them to the electric and gas totals.

Like others here I can see my first charges being applied by Octopus by viewing the my balance page, but don't yet have a PDF bill to detail the breakdown.  Interestingly I can also see that I had a "SOLR balance transfer" debit of £26.73 (i.e. a minus value) transferred from the Avro final bill at the end of September.  I can then see that a "balance transfer" of a credit of £26.73 has been made mid December cancelling out the negative from Avro. I wonder what that is about?

I think this must be due to the Bank Holiday.
When I submitted my first readings, I was sent an email from Octopus with the pdf statement included as an attachment. Everything online updated immediately. It went tickety-boo, as it were.
